Story
At this point, I'm just going with the flow...even if the water has been a little rough lately. Hello, I'm River. I am a beautiful long haired lady who is very particular on my standards and who I let in my inner circle. I would love to have my own little cat corner- a River cave! I do love affection and love from my people, but of course it needs to be on my terms. However, I love sleeping with my people! I find their heads to be quite comfy. I'm a very affectionate kitty who loves to be in the same room as my people. I hope my perfect match is out there and I can meet my new forever family soon! xoxo, River. Story
Hello, I'm El Dorado. I'm as precious as the gold city I'm named after. I'm a cuddly, friendly, gentle soul looking for a forever home. I love the feel of carpet under my paws: it's soft, comforting, and keeps me from slipping. I have a seizure disorder and I have to take Phenobarbital daily. I'm just like any other cat, with a bit more love to give. I prefer a home with kids over 12: they understand my gentle nature. I love my foster sister Lucinda and think it would be great if we could be adopted together. I'm litter boxed trained and ready to be spoiled rotten. To meet me fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.

Story
She was pushed on to me by my grandmother a little over a year ago and I’ve tried to get her accustomed to my other two cats but they just do not mix though she gets along with my female dog just fine. I feel she should be fine in a home with one other cat of the opposite gender or a lazy dog. My cats are just very territorial, especially my female kitty and that’s the main issue. She likes to go outside as much as inside. She’s due for her next round of check up/shots (Bogue Animal Hospital/Vet Clinic) but I can no longer afford to care for her as well as the others. She does not have front claws and has lost majority of her teeth except her one fang and molars so she is still able to eat dry food. She huffs and puffs when nervous and likes to hide but also loves to snuggle and play. She’s a sweet kitty with personality but just not a fit for our home.

Story
Bugzy was adopted at the local humane society and is approximately 6 years old. She prefers men and is affectionate. She was supposedly both an indoor and outdoors cat however, we've only had her as an indoors cat since we got her as a kitten. She tolerates children but usually runs away. She does NOT like our dog. She's scared to death of her. This is half the reason we are rehoming her. We got a dog a little over a year ago and Bugzy just won't come out from hiding 90% of the time. She's not quite that bad these days but you hardly ever see her unless the dog is outside and then she comes out pretty quickly. The other reason we are rehoming Bugzy is she has decided to stop using the litter box. We have taken her to the vet twice and the vet says she's healthy but more than likely is doing it out of spite of the dog and should be rehomed. More than likely she should be the only pet in the home. She gets along with our other cat but at this point she just needs to be by herself.

Story
Pippa is such a sweet long haired Tuxedo cat (black and white). She is declawed on her front paws. Her elderly owners relinquished Pippa to the rescue because they could no longer care for her. She is healthy, she has just become over weight, and has been placed on a special diet. Pippa loves morning snuggles, being brushed and drinking from water fountains. She does well with other cats and came from a home with a small dog and older children, so she gets along with just about everyone! Please be the one person who will help Pippa with her diet and in return she will bring some happiness into your home. Contact Joy’s Animal Rescue for information or questions.
