Story
Sergi is a 2-year-old, long-haired male cat who arrived at the shelter with other feline companions. He’s a bit shy and doesn’t tolerate sudden movements well, so a home without dogs or children is recommended. Sergi may require some time to adapt to his new environment, and he has a folded ear due to past trauma.” Thank you for your interest in providing a forever home for an animal who needs your love! Adult cats are $50, this includes spay or neuter, rabies shot (if over 4 months), FVRCP (distemper), worming, flea treatment, FIV/FeLV testing, and microchip( lifetime, No fees). Kittens (6 months and under) are $70 or 2 for $100. If the cat is at the rescue, email happytalesiowa@gmail.com to set up an appointment. We are available most times but do have adoption events, vet appointments and kitty errands to run. website has current locations https://happytalesranchandrescue.wordpress.com/adopt-me

Story
- Cuddly, loving and playful kitty who enjoys sitting in your lap- Likes being petted all over- Loves to play with cat toys of all kinds - Loves lots of attention, belly rubs and his blankie!- Has done well with other cats- Has done well with kidsThis cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life! All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Tabby Weight: 9.75 Age: 1yrs 5mths 0wks

Story
Ivy and Bear are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair. - Has done well with people but can be shy at first - Likes sitting in laps and just hanging out near you - Favorite toys are laser toys, wand toys and balls - Has lived with other cats and did well with them - Not a fan of loud noises; looking for a quieter home - Lived with kids previously and loved to play with them; her previous family said she prefers older kids to young ones - Has done fine with dogs but doesn't have much tolerance for young or very bouncy ones; would prefer older and calmer This cat has shown signs of overstimulation while in the shelter. Lots of handling, playing with hands, and excessive petting can cause them to overstimulate, which can result in scratching and/or biting. This cat is looking for experienced cat owners who will watch this cat's body language while interacting to note signs of overstimulation (tail waving, fur rippling, dilated pupils, ears turned back and quick body movements) and be willing to respect their boundaries. This cat will also benefit from interactive toys such as wands, ball spinners and laser pointers while playing. We are happy to speak with you more when you visit and can provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat mental stimulation, patience and space when they need it, please consider adopting! They would love to be your sidekick and buddy for life! All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.8 Age: 5yrs 0mths 2wks
