If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact. Jetta is estimated to be about a 2 years old as of November, 2024.  She was noticed living in an abandoned house with a feral colony but she was not feral.  Attempts were made to find her owner, but no one claimed her.  She came into rescue and we found that she had already been spayed and additional attempts were made to find an owner without success.  So, she is looking for a forever home!  She's very sweet and beautiful!  She lives peacefully with the other cats in rescue if they stay out of her space.  She would prefer, so far, not to be with them.  She loves her humans!  Adopt her today.  Approved applications will be contacted within 48 hoursVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:   $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year) $50 - Adult (1 Year +) $25 - Senior (7 Years +) $0 - FIV + There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...) If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying. Scooter is a ball of energy wrapped in fur! Scooter is always on the go, exploring every nook and cranny. He's got a playful spirit that keeps everyone entertained. But don't let his high energy fool you- Scooter also has a sweet side. When it's time to wind down, he loves curling up in a cozy spot and purring contentedly. Scooter is a delightful companion for anyone to have in their home due to his perfect mix of playful and peaceful.

Acorn is a gorgeous medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's very skittish and needs a patient home who can take the time to earn her trust. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home. Acorn is not litterbox trained.

This gorgeous girl is Camila or Cami for short! Camila was surrendered to us after her owners were faced with health issues beyond their control. She was well loved and very spoiled, and we're hoping to find her a new home that will do the same! She is around 4 years old and a large cat, weighing around 12lbs. She is understandably very stressed and upset at the shelter. She will occasionally rub against you, but currently does not allow petting. We believe with time and patience in a quiet environment away from cats she will start to return to the loving cat she is at heart. She will need a patient home that can give her ample time and space to adjust. Camila lived as an only pet in her previous home and is looking for a home with no children.Camila is front paw declawed. When she first came to WCHS, she experienced some discomfort in her front paws. Our vet did x-rays and observed nail fragments in her front paws. She received a pain injection and has been doing wonderfully since. Any interested adopter would want to keep this in mind to share with their vet in case any complications arise in the future!

Zero is an elegant five-year-old domestic long hair that came to us from a local animal control. He is a bit more reserved but does enjoy pets and affection. He is often lounging in a comfy bed and watching his environment. Zero doesn't seem to mind the other cats so far and we have seen him playing with and grooming other cats.
