Story
Acorn is a gorgeous medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's very skittish and needs a patient home who can take the time to earn her trust. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home. Acorn is not litterbox trained.

Story
This gorgeous girl is Camila or Cami for short! Camila was surrendered to us after her owners were faced with health issues beyond their control. She was well loved and very spoiled, and we're hoping to find her a new home that will do the same! She is around 4 years old and a large cat, weighing around 12lbs. She is understandably very stressed and upset at the shelter. She will occasionally rub against you, but currently does not allow petting. We believe with time and patience in a quiet environment away from cats she will start to return to the loving cat she is at heart. She will need a patient home that can give her ample time and space to adjust. Camila lived as an only pet in her previous home and is looking for a home with no children.Camila is front paw declawed. When she first came to WCHS, she experienced some discomfort in her front paws. Our vet did x-rays and observed nail fragments in her front paws. She received a pain injection and has been doing wonderfully since. Any interested adopter would want to keep this in mind to share with their vet in case any complications arise in the future!

Story
Meet our Holiday Pie kittens! These 2 brothers are Lemon Meringue Pie and Peanut Butter Pie. Lemon Meringue is a long hair white and black little dude and his brother Peanut Butter is a sharp dressed man who is white and black with short hair and the most adorable diamond marking on his face. These 9 week old kittens are super fun and so playful and silly. They love to play with anything they can chase around like spring toys or crinkle balls and when they are done playing they love to snuggle with their humans and get cuddles. They are a perfect blend of play and love and they are looking for a home together. Interested in meeting our pie kittens? The first step in the process is completing our online application: https://starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application You can check out www.facebook.com/kittenville.il where their foster mom has documented their time in foster care. The adoption fee of $330 for the pair includes neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure healthy new kittens for your family. Although we make the best guess on the breed of our cats, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the cat. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 21, 2024, 4:53 pm
