Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oh Suzy Q!  This girl was very wary of us for a time, and she was not wrong to be.  How could she know our intentions?  I think there was a part of her that was honestly hurt (emotionally) by whatever she endured before us, and unwilling to trust humans before she was SURE about them.  She had to work through that and decide if we could be relied upon.  We don't like to brag, but we could be! Suzy Q is very smart.  She began taking an interest in what we were doing around the medical room, and noticing special foods prepared for different cats who needed them.  She also noticed that there were kittens near her who had no fear of humans and nothing bad ever happened to them!  I honestly think she was able to connect this, and through play and food, she was persuaded that we could be allowed to pet her.  She is very funny and still takes quite an interest in what humans are doing!  She wants to be seen playing with her toys and impress us, and she loves being petted in our community room.  I think she would enjoy being a companion cat to "help" you with your routine, but some of the relationship will be on her terms.  This is true of any cat, really, but Suzy Q is still discerning and unwilling to settle for anything she doesn't want to do. She would likely do best without kids in the home, and with an experienced cat owner who knows how to speak cat, but she does well with other cats after a typical introduction period.  I think she would prefer to find her own favorite places in a home of her own!  Could it be yours?   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt!
