Story
Meet Mara This longhaired beauty is now available for pre-adoption. At four months old, she is one of our sweet Lainey Mae's kittens and is just uber adorable! Mara is very confident and sassy (typical of a black cat) and has worked her way into our hearts. She's always inthe middle of a play pile, unless she sees a nice lap to snuggle on after playtime. She especially loves her sister Mila (a short haired version of her) If you are looking for some fun and love in your life, Mara (ane Mila) might just be right for you. She's friendly, confident, adorable, and loving - what more could you ask for? And remember, two is always twice the fun! If you can offer a safe indoor home for Mara and maybe her sister, please submit an application on the homepage of this website https://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to verify that we received your application. . All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
Clyde arrived with his sister Bonnie after living outside for a few years. They've discovered the Catio and love sunbathing. Clyde likes to take naps in the cubbies where it's darker, and he's still a bit shy, who needs an experienced pet owner. Once he feels some nice scratches he calms down and lets himself enjoy it. Apply at Furkids.org to meet Clyde!! Furkids provides LIFETIME vetting (illness, not to include vaccines or injuries) post-adoption. This cat is FIV+, but it is no big deal! It just means the cat has a slightly depressed immune system, so be a little more pro-active if your cat gets a cold or gets sick. FIV+ cats can live with non-FIV+ cats with no problem, and can live long lives! ID# : FKDS-A-27200 Est. Birthdate: 05/23/2017 Microchip Number : 981020049297914
