Story
Are you hiring? This working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and ear-tip included. Primary Color: Orange Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.65625 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Chewy! Chewy is a handsome younger cat that came to us from a local shelter due to his severe allergies. Chewy is eating a diet of commercially prepared raw rabbit cat food which has helped his skin condition. He may also require life long medication administered by a veterinarian. Chewy loves attention, catnip, and toys. He has lived with other cats and dogs, but isn't a huge fan and would love to be an only pet.

Story
Smokey is a sweet senior, 12 yrs old, shy at first, but so loving once he trusts you.  His bloodwork (attached) is excellent.  His owner, a fragile diabetic, fell and shattered a femur.   She is now a hospice patient. Smokey and Noel were alone in the home, cared for by their long-time pet sitter.    Smokey needs a home. He has lived with many cats and dogs.  He’ll never need a dental as he has no teeth after a recent dental.  Smokey just needs a quiet place to be and show his love. Currently at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen.  When you stop by, be sure to say hello to all the cats.  Your next friend might be there.February 19, 2025, 9:58 pm
