Story
This handsome hunk is the total package! If you are looking for a cuddler and a lovebug, easy going and laid back, Wally is your boy! He also LOVES wand toys. Wally is good with strangers. The first day I (foster mama) received him, he crawled in my lap right away and started purring! And hasn't stopped since. Loves, neck, chin and head scratches. Wally has quite the amazing large bright green eyes as well. He has the temperament of a Maine Coon exactly but of course he is not telling his lineage.  Wally also loves his litter box.Not sure if he would do well with another cat, however I think he would be good with a 6 month kitten or younger. He plays under the door with my 6 month old kitten and seems happy to bat paws with him. Wally would do best in a home without children. Dogs have been hit or miss...  a small, gentle dog would probably be ok.  Keep in mind, anytime you are introducing two pets to one another, a period of acclimatization is necessary... at least several days, if not a couple of weeks!! Wally was born in April 2023Wally can be visited in his foster home in south Ft. Collins. Foster: CP   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Name: Graham Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Neutered Male Age: 6 years Weight: 13 lbs Has Medical Needs Good with dogs? Not Tested Good with cats? Not Tested, but if he lives with other cats they should also be FeLV positive Good with kids? Not Tested Energy level: Low Medical needs: Graham is a special kitty because he is living with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). While this means he requires some extra care, he is still capable of leading a happy and full life. FeLV can affect a cat's immune system, so it's essential that he live indoors and receive regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his health. Please contact adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions about his medical needs. Animal Characteristics: Graham is a big, beautiful, sweet boy who deserves a loving, peaceful home where he can be pampered. He was abandoned and put outside to fend for himself when his prior owner became ill. Graham is understandably shy but affectionate as he warms up to new humans, and may seek out cozy boxes and hide at first. He is gentle, enjoys being petted and snuggling, and purrs with happiness. His prior foster reports that he loves attention and company! Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Story
Name: Soleil Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Spayed Female Age: 1.5 yrs Weight: 8 lbs Good with dogs? Not Tested Good with cats? Yes, Soleil loves other cats who are kind to her. She is quick to bond with feline friends and initiates affection and kitty playtime. Good with kids? Soleil is quite shy and needs to be approached gently, slowly and quietly. Energy level: Medium. Soleil is most active in the evening and at night, happily playing with wand toys and frolicking with the other foster cat in her home. Animal Characteristics: Soleil was a teen mom who used to live outside. Now, she deserves to relax into her cozy, loving forever home. She is shy and may hide for a while, but she’s steadily warming up to humans. She would do best with an experienced cat person who can give her a quiet, safe space and ongoing socialization work to encourage interaction and reassurance that people around her will provide safety and love. When she is comfortable, she purrs while enjoying gentle petting, and has lots of potential to blossom into a great, affectionate companion!
