Story
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT TCRESCUE.COM/ADOPT Cheesepuff is a neutered young adult orange and white tabby born approximately 9/20/22.   Cheesepuff is a very sweet, quiet cat in his foster home. He enjoys playing with toys and snuggling with the other foster cats. He loves being pet, and tolerates brushing, but particularly like butt scritches. Cheesepuff is very comfortable around cat-savvy dogs and loves treats, particularly fish paste sticks (think Churu, Tiki Cat Stix). He likes to bathe in the sunroom on the cushions with the other cats and enjoys batting around mouse toys. He is very fond of his brother Cheeseslice.    He has a beautiful orange and white coat, of a longer medium length, though he does not require brushing, but it would be beneficial to brush him occasionally to reduce hairballs. His fur is extremely soft. Cheesepuff would probably do well in a home with very respectful children, as long as he has another confident feline companion in the home. His ideal situation would be to go to a home with his brother Cheeseslice, or at least have another cat in the home he can snuggle and hang out with while his humans are away. He has been waiting a very long time for a loving home and would love a place to call his own! Cheesepuff's brother (Cheeseslice) tested positive feline calicivirus and feline herpes at two months old and is likely a carrier for these feline viruses, so the best home for him  will be with someone who understands the possibility that he could have "breakouts"- however, in the year he has been with his foster, he has shown no intrusive symptoms of the viruses. Cheesepuff does have a "leaky" right eye (meaning it will get a little gooey), but he keeps it pretty clean. The foster's own cat was also tested for the viruses one year after they had lived together in the same household, and it came out negative. As long as vaccinations are up to date, there's a good chance Cheesepuff can move into a household that already has resident cats, with no viral exchange. Cats with feline herpes or calicivirus may exhibit symptoms or flareups ranging in severity, randomly or in times of stress throughout their life. Learn why kittens in pairs are healthier and happier at: http://tcrescue.com/why2kittens Cheesepuff is being fostered in Gilroy.   Adoption fee of $65 covers deworming, rabies and one FVRCP vaccination, microchip, and neuter  surgery.   If Cheesepuff is adopted with one of his foster siblings, the total adoption fee is only $75 for the pair! If you would like to meet this cat, please start by filling out our adoption application at tcrescue.com/adopt   ADOPTION INQUIRIES SUBMITTED WITHOUT A COMPLETED APPLICATION FROM THE LINK ABOVE MAY NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Story
Sunrise is a beautiful orange long-haired boy with a story of strength and resilience. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in very rough shape. When he arrived, he was battling a severe kitten cold, with eyes so crusted over that he couldn’t see. The shelter staff quickly started him on medication, which worked wonders, but his journey to recovery was only beginning. A few days later, Sunrise went to a foster home, where he continued his healing journey. Due to his illness, he needed to be isolated for three weeks to ensure he fully recovered. Despite the long weeks alone, Sunrise showed incredible patience, happily playing with his toys and enjoying all the love his foster family gave him. Now that he’s fully recovered and back with other kittens, Sunrise’s sweet personality shines! He loves the company of other cats and even gets along well with the foster home’s dog. Sunrise is a gentle soul who isn’t very vocal, though he’ll let out a quiet meow if he’s ready for wet food. He adores people, loves to be held, and is a playful, sweet kitten who would thrive in a home with other furry friends. Sunrise’s time alone was long enough, and he’s ready to find a forever family who’ll love and cherish him alongside new playmates. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and cuddly kitten, Sunrise is waiting to meet you! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet. This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adoptNovember 3, 2024, 9:30 pm

Story
Lucky and Luna are a gentle, affectionate bonded pair looking for a loving home where they can finally stretch out, play, and enjoy some dedicated attention. They have spent the past 7 years in a small trailer without windows, and although they have been lovingly cared for, they haven’t had the opportunity to experience a more enriched indoor life.  Lucky, a handsome black cat, and Luna are both playful and sweet. Lucky’s favorite toy is “Da Bee,” and he loves being brushed, held, and doted on. They are gentle, very easy to love, and would thrive in a quiet, spacious home. Because they’re fearful of the outdoors and nervous around dogs, they would be best suited to a peaceful environment with a patient adopter. A safe balcony or a window to look out of would be a delight for them. An ideal home for Lucky and Luna would be with someone who can spend plenty of time with them, perhaps someone retired or working from home. They would reward your care with endless love and loyalty. Both cats are in good health and only need their vaccinations updated. If you’re looking for two sweet, low-key companions to add joy to your home, Lucky and Luna are waiting to meet you! Lucky is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsNovember 3, 2024, 9:30 pm

Story
Luna is a sweet, affectionate companion who, along with her brother Lucky, is searching for a caring forever home. This gentle, grey-and-white lady adores being brushed and will happily come running when it’s mealtime. Luna and Lucky have spent the past 7 years in a small trailer without windows, and while they’ve been deeply cared for, they haven’t experienced a comfortable, spacious home or consistent human attention.  Luna is incredibly gentle and loves both snuggling and playtime. She’s fully indoors and would thrive in a peaceful environment where she and Lucky can explore, relax, and be pampered. Though they are in good health, both are due for updated vaccinations. They’re nervous around dogs and afraid of the outdoors, so a calm, indoor-only home would be best. A safe balcony or window would give Luna and Lucky a wonderful new view to enjoy. An ideal home for Luna and Lucky would be with someone who works from home or has plenty of time to spend with them—someone who’s looking for affectionate, low-maintenance companions. If you’re ready to share your space and heart with two loving cats, Luna and Lucky are waiting to bring their sweetness into your life! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Princess with a Big Heart & TailMercedes is a fun loving princess looking for her forever home. Mercedes is initially shy and it takes a few days for her to take over the house. Then she will own the place and will tell you so. She is quite vocal when she wants to play and at meal times. She loves chasing after feather and other wand toys. She requires you to participate. She naps on her own and plays with her humans. Mercedes wants to be a lap cat but she needs to know you first. Initially she prefers to sit next to her human while they read or watched television. She enjoys brushing. It's needed to care for all that fluff. That fur makes her look larger than she is. After years as a single cat, Mercedes is not prepared to share her human with another cat. She truly wants to be the princess in the castle. When Mercedes returned to us she received a complete medical check up and updated vaccines. Unfortunately the vet found two problems. Mercedes has a grade 2-3 heart murmur and mild to moderate hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She receives twice daily oral medication that she takes without complaining. Fortunately Mercedes is completely asymptomatic and enjoys and active life. Her heart problems do not stop her from running around just like a healthy cat. Come meet Mercedes and her tail. It has a life of its own. Here is her kitten bio: Mercedes was named after the car under which she was found. She was a scrappy little girl at 1.5 lbs, ready to take on all comers. With some TLC and regular meals, Mercedes no longer hides under the bed and prefers being with people. She knows being an extrovert is a lot more fun. While she plays well alone, attacking her toys and packing paper, she prefers interacting with her human friends getting them to move the wand toys and using their legs as launch pads. After playtime, a lap is a good place to crash. Mercedes is vocal only at meal time. She has the cutest “mew.” She also likes a solid routine: food, play, nap, cuddles Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Los Hermanos, bonded to PreciosoThese two can be very playful and affectionate with one another. They are referred to as Los Hermanos meaning the brothers. They are receptive to being petted and conversation in English and Spanish.  Precioso the grey one can be very chill. His brother Papa Coco the black one is a bundle of energy. Although, they are different in their personalities they interact with one another along with snuggles and cleaning each other. Precioso is slow to warm up and can appear to be disinterested in interacting and socializing at first. He is reactive to cat toys and greets his foster family with meows and purrs. He is also smaller in size to his brother. Papa Coco is a bigger cat and his fur is long. His golden eyes are stunning. He is a purr machine too and feels so soft. Watching them nap together is heartwarming as they embrace one another. Along with that minutes before a nap they can be heard playing and chasing each other. These two were rescued together at approximately 11 weeks old. They were neutered and vaccinated with the support of 13th Street Cats. The request is for Los Hermanos to be adopted together and are kept indoors. They have been exposed to adult cats with very minimal interaction. They are curious to meet new cats it is the new cats that are unsure about these two brothers.  Contact Audrey Randazzo by email:audreyrandazzo6@gmail.com   THIS animal listing is a COURTESY LISTING - not a 13th St Cat Rescue animal. Story
Meet Nigem, the charming cat who's been through a lot but still has a heart full of love. Estimated to be about 8 years old, he's got a majestic look with his fluffy fur that makes him seem like royalty. Nigem's story began on the streets, where life was tough until Woody rescue swooped in and brought him to safety. When he first came to us, he was scared of everything and spent a lot of time hiding. But as time went on, he started to trust us more and now he loves getting cuddles and scratches on his head and neck. Despite his fancy appearance, Nigem is a playful guy. He enjoys chasing things and looking out the window at the world passing by. He's still a bit jumpy around loud noises and new people, but he's getting braver every day. Nigem is a sweetheart who just wants your attention and affection. He's definitely enjoying a cozy indoor life after spending so much time outside. He loves to take long naps during the day. He's easy to care for and never causes any trouble. Please submit an adoption application if you are interested: https://forms.gle/JNvQG3Dva96z8oMs9. All cats and kittens will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and complete FVRCP vaccination prior to adoption.

Ratatouille is a highly curious and playful little guy; as soon as he's picked up he purrs loudly and is very sweet and cuddly...at least for a few minutes before he's off looking for more to explore. He would do well with kids and possibly other animals (he doesn't seem to mind the resident cat in his foster home) but he does like chewing on things, especially phone cords!  His forever home family will want to kitten-proof before bringing him home!Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Story
Foggy is a quirky, playful, clever little girl who will melt your heart, along with her brother, Nimbo. What she lacks in confidence she makes up for in spunk and spirit, Though shy, she cannot resist the lure of a wand toy and loses all inhibitions when the toys come out. It takes time and patience to gain her trust but her purr motor is as big and strong as Nimbo's.  This clever girl is a master of stealth when it comes to playtime. She loves hiding and pouncing on her brother and the resident cats, providing endless entertainment. Foggy and Nimbo love other cats, and fit in well with a household with existing cats. One of her favorite toys is the rolling spiral, which she will chase all over the place with boundless energy. If you want to see her in action, a feather wand will always entice her out of her hiding spots and into the open. Foggy and her brother Nimbo are a bonded pair, so they need to be adopted together. They balance each other perfectly: Foggy’s stealthy and clever play complements Nimbo’s playful and outgoing nature. Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Story
Nimbo is an adorable guy with ear floof and a squirrel tail who loves to play, pounce, and cuddle! If you’re looking for an entertaining kitten who will always make you laugh, Nimbo is the one for you! This little cutie has a serious weakness for Churu treats and he will drop everything and come running when you get out the treats. Nimbo makes himself at home quickly climbing on your lap and easily makes friends with other cats, and adores being picked up and showered with scritches. Once he’s in your arms, his loud and content purr will let you know just how happy he is to be close to you. His easy-going nature makes him a wonderful addition to any family. He enjoys the company of people and will let you pick him up most of the time, especially if it means more cuddles! Nimbo is the outgoing big brother to his even more playful but shyer sister, Foggy, so they’ll need to be adopted together. If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful kittens who are also partners in crime to complete your home, Nimbo and Foggy are the perfect match! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.
