Story
Hi my name is Chai Mocha! Smittens took me in from the Feral Cat Coalition as a stray, I was evaluated, spayed, vaccinated, and now I’m ready for adoption! I am a pretty torti girl that is very friendly and super sweet. I am instantly at ease and could spend all day in your lap purring, making biscuits, and rubbing my face against yours! I also enjoy belly rubs and chin scratches. I get along well with other cats. I can’t wait to find a safe and loving forever home!

Penny is very social with her humans, and has the most fantastic purr. She is surprisingly agile in her old age, and loves to trot around the house. She is almost always a tail-up, happy cat who loves to be in the company of people. Penny is calm and gentle and is looking for a home that can match her laid-back energy. She may prefer to be the only cat in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention! She does have some health issues that come with being a senior, but they aren't slowing her down! If you're ready to give this sweet gal the peaceful home she deserves, email her foster parent at cjkeith459@gmail.com today! At SDHS:Penny has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 15.58 Age: 16yrs 8mths 1wks

Story
We got these two sweet kittens at 6 weeks old at animal shelter. They gave us so much affection and love that our hearts break that we need to find them a new home because we need to move, I just won’t get into details why we are not able to take them with us but the reason is very valid.

Story
KC (short for Kitty Cat lol) is one of the most loving, people-oriented kitties I've ever known. She loves to be pet, and she loveeeeessss to sit in your lap or lie next to you in bed. She also has lots of energy and would do well in a home where people have time to play with her 💗 She was a community cat that used to hang in my yard, and I let her come inside full-time a year ago. Unfortunately, my allergies and my lifestyle just don't allow me to give her the love and attention she wants and deserves, so I'm looking to give her to someone who can. I've seen her interact well with children ages 7 and up, but have not seen her with kids younger than that. She's currently indoor/outdoor and roams wherever she wants to, but with enough love, attention, and indoor play, I imagine she'll adjust to being indoors full-time if you prefer that. She's about 2.5 I think, and up to date on vaccinations, but I will take her to the vet for a check up before re-homing her.

Story
Jinx is inquisitive and sweet and will sometimes cuddle. She will check on rooms ahead of you to make sure they’re safe and she will wait for you to come back out. When her food and water are low she will come get you and meow at you to tell you all about it. She’s adorable. She likes high places and looking down at everyone like a gargoyle. She is solid black with a tuft of white on her chest. She does fine with dogs and kids and other cats but probably would be best alone or with a boy cat because competition makes her territorial and she starts marking, which is annoying, we want to keep her but we can’t. My mil is allergic and is moving in after the death of my fil. We will miss our little watcher

Story
*** Diesel is in a foster home ***Grey & white bicolor, long hair, declawed, neutered male, born approx. 3/30/16, #18993Cats: okay solo or with large male catDogs: lived with previouslyChildren: all agesBACKGROUND: Diesel lost his longtime home through no fault of his own when his previous guardian had a change in living circumstances. No longer able to keep her beloved felines, she reached out to The Rescue House. While in foster care, Diesel was diagnosed with mast cell cancer tumors. Thankfully, with medication, his prognosis is very good. This otherwise healthy spry guy is expected to have a normal lifespan so long as he stays on the anti-cancer meds. Ever the optimist, he took his vet visits as opportunities to make friends. The clinic staff absolutely adored him, and as a true romantic, Diesel can’t wait to meet his forever-and-ever family!PERSONALITY: Diesel is a huge hunk of fluffy love! Our BIG boy is super sweet and very sociable. He adores human company and will often join in on the conversations. This chatty lad has plenty of stories to share with the crowd. He also can be handled or held without issue. Proud of his flowy coat, Diesel loves being brushed and pet. It’s a great way for you two to bond and keep him looking majestic! Experienced with kids, he enjoys being around the action and noise. He’s a confident fellow who seldom hides, except when his nemesis is on the prowl… the infamous vacuum! For fun, he likes to tussle with feather toys, pounce on the cat chasers and climb up the kitty tower. COMPATIBILITY: Diesel would do well as a solo kitty or could live with another large male cat. He didn’t seem to warm up to the two female cats in his foster home. He has lived with a dog before and could likely adjust to a feline-friendly canine. Diesel also was raised right alongside the family’s young children and does well with kids of all ages. With his long locks and brilliant personality, Diesel is quite the catch! Will you be the savior he needs to make sure he stays a healthy boy with his anti-cancer meds and be the lucky recipient of his never-ending love and affection?

*** Buddha is at Petco Mira Mesa. ***Buddha: solid gray, long hair, neutered male, born approx. 7/1/10, #19269Cats: nopeDogs: nopeChildren: calmer kids likely fine BACKGROUND: Buddha was rescued by a veterinarian. When she was closing her practice, she reached out to The Rescue House to ask if we could help him find a loving home. When he arrived in our care, we noticed that Buddha’s eyes were always dilated. A veterinary eye specialist determined that he has iris atrophy, though there is no recommended treatment; his bloodwork came back great!PERSONALITY: This magnificently fluffy senior boy is the ultimate chill companion kitty. Buddha knows how to find the coziest spot in the house – and if that’s in your lap, get ready for endless snuggles! He’s a bundle of calm whose vibe is pure relaxation and blissful happy energy. He loves to be close to his people and getting pets on his head and neck; sometimes he’ll roll over for a belly rub, too. Buddha can be self-sufficient and particularly likes a sunny room with warm rays beaming in for him to bask in through the day. He’ll chirp a hello to you if he decides he wants to be stroked. Buddha appreciates some time to get used to new people and places, and then once he gets to know you he’ll be your close calming buddy.COMPATIBILITY: Buddha must be your only fur-child. He has no interest in sharing space with either cats or dogs. Calmer kids may be fine once everyone gets introduced. Ready to meet your new best friend? Buddha’s all about radiating good vibes, and he’s waiting to curl up and share his mellow magic with you!

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Goose! Goose is a sweet and friendly indoor kitty who loves sunbathing, hanging out in the living room, and sleeping with her human and best friend (who happens to be a dog!) Unfortunately, Goose's family is going through a divorce, and she needs a loving new home. Goose loves attention from people. She is calm and gentle, so she would be great in a home with kids. Goose currently lives with a dog, and the two of them get along wonderfully. She also did well around other cats at her foster home. Goose has a history of bladder crystals and is currently eats a prescription food (Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Urinary Care.) Her future family will need to continue this special diet to keep her healthy. Goose would be a wonderful companion for someone who can meet her dietary needs and provide a calm, loving home. While she does have some health considerations, her sweet and easy-going nature will more than make up for them. If you're looking for a laid-back cat who loves company and a good sunbeam, Goose may be the perfect addition to your home! To learn more about Goose, please email Star at starhassfeld@gmail.com. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this cat medically or behaviorally.*

Ralphie is quite the lover boy! He's a bit of a gentle giant. Although he can be a little timid around other animals at first, he is so sweet and non-confrontational. He loves pets and rubbing up on your legs! Ralphie was abandoned on the streets, and he begged for help for over a month. Finally, it came! He is now looking for his perfect home where he can just chill with his favorite people.

Story
We've had Mara about 3 months now. She lived with a young lady in a small apartment. In our house, we have 4 people. I don't think the cat likes all the random noises and hasn't settled in here. Sometimes at night, she cries at the front door. She just wants someone to be with her but when we put in our one of our rooms or beds, she just runs downstairs. She is a really sweet cat, loves to be brushed and relax in the sun on the front walkway. She probably needs a 1 person home that is relatively quiet.
