Story
Meet Emma, a 4-year-young long hair tabby in need of a new foster or forever home. Emma’s dad passed away and her mom moved overseas so we took Emma in. She was adopted and went to live in SF but sometimes, as hard as we try, we just don’t find the right home. Emma was very unhappy and not bonding at all in the new situation. We brought her back and she is with our friends at Kitty Charm School in Mill Valley. She is blossoming there and we hope to find her a new forever home with someone who will be patient and kind. She’s just a gentle little soul. Of note: Emma did bond with her first foster mom — but we discovered there that she is not a fan of children. She would love a quiet home with a single adult or couple. She is extremely sweet and gentle…but she is also shy. She has been through a lot of loss. :( We love Emma — and she is so beautiful. She has perfect habits with the litter box. She will play interactively with a ribbon or a feather and she plays with her catnip toys. Interested in meeting this sweet girl? Please contact Debbie at Jake’s Place for more information 415-548-0824. All Jake’s Place cats that are available for adoption are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped. The Adoption Fee for Emma is $110. This Fee helps pay for Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Vaccines, FIV/Leukemia testing, as well as all other Veterinary costs. Adopters must agree to return the kitty to Jake’s Place if the adoption fails at any time. All Fees will be returned if the adoption fails within 90 days. Jake’s Place is a 100% volunteer organization. All Fees and Donations go directly to the care of our kitties.

Story
Meet Bailey, a gorgeous and mellow cat searching for her forever home. While Bailey may take a bit longer to warm up compared to her friend Bella, she is well worth the wait. In her foster home, she's gradually become more social and now seeks out her foster mom and is starting to enjoy playtime. Bailey likes affection on her own terms, but that just makes those special moments when she curls up on your lap even more precious. She especially loves lounging in a sunny spot by a window or screen door, soaking up the warmth. Bailey is closely bonded with Bella, so they need to be adopted together. They aren't too fond of other cats or dogs and would prefer being your only furry family members. They would do best in an adult-only home or one with gentle older children. Excited to meet this lovely pair? Fill out an application today to schedule a visit!.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Beautiful Pia is mom to 3 other cats: Cleocatra, Leo and Rio. She is gentle and calm and shy and lived her early years as a yard cat. The people who were feeding the whole family asked us to step in and help them to find a better life. Now that are all spayed and neutered and living here in our cat community. 2 of these cats, Leo and Rio, are probably too afraid of humans to be adoptable, but we believe that Pia and little Cleo could be house cats if someone took the time to socialize them. We are able to touch both of them now that they are used to being around people at the shelter, although they haven't quite decided if they enjoy it yet! These 2 are rather bonded and we think they would do best as a pair so that they have a companion as they learn to trust humans. They are both very petite and beautiful girls with adorable ear floofs. They are very gentle and incredibly adorable and it's hard to not fall in love with them once you're around them. If you are able to foster this mom and daughter and have a quiet home, along with time and patience, the results would be so rewarding! Experienced cat people would be a plus. Apply today at www.jellysplace.org.

Isis is a beautiful girl, but alas may not be for everyone. She came to us from a feral colony, and is very timid and fearful around people. She is doing well in our cat community and hanging out in the catio her kitty pals.

Story
Jeannie: Sassy, Saucy and a little bit bossy! This 10 year old gem of a girl will keep you on your toes. Like most mature women, she knows what she likes and knows what she doesn’t. Likes: play, making biscuits, rubbing her face on hair brushes, Greenies cat treats and time in the sun. Dislikes: other cats, full body brushing (even though she needs it as a long hair girl), getting petted past the point that she wants to be petted, hands coming at her in play (hands aren’t toys any way 😊). As with most mature women, she is quite vocal and holds great conversations.

Story
Yoshi and Pharell are a special pair of dignified cats with gentle, sweet natures that came to us as brothers from another mother. They were quite confused at first, as they had been left at the shelter after their person moved out of state. They were quick to open up and trust new people but it seemed clear that they needed a lot of extra TLC to get them in their full glory. Big "brother" Pharell is a gorgeous senior Maine Coon cat that appears to have the longest torso we've ever seen in a kitty. He's definitely got that magical woodland creature element to him, with his fluffy mane and tall pointed ears and deep set eyes. Despite his huge stature, he still manages to fit in the kitty napping nooks and is content to lounge about waiting for his next meal, or a chat and pet session with any nice person that visits with him. He is mellow over all, until you have to try and check his ear or put him in a crate, and at that point, he can be fast and nimble and you realize his enormity. In other words, a typical cat with double the stubborn strength.Handsome "little brother" Yoshi, has been a diamond in the rough, letting his older brother take the lime light and slowly settling in and revealing his personality, opening up a little more every day. He's generally a quiet kitty, but at least once a day randomly, you'll hear him talking to himself with high pitched baby meows. He is still a young teenager after all, and might even have a little more growing to do. When we first met him, he was attached to Pharell and it's evident that they're bonded and should stay together. He would love to take his time getting to know his new family and opening up on his own timeline, with Pharell right by his side. With these two as a pair, you will definitely need to have a few grooming brushes at the ready and lots of lap surface area. These boys would love bonding grooming sessions, as they do crave loving attention. They have gotten used to a double charm offensive strategy when they greet people. We've had the privilege of hosting Yoshi and Pharell and now it's time for them to find their new family together! Primary Color: Black Weight: 14.2 Age: 14yrs 2mths 2wks
