Story
Samantha was found in the kindergarten yard at Baker Elementary School in National City. She had a litter of 5 kittens. While she was considered a `Feral/Community cat’ she was so friendly that she was caught by hand. She loves people and enjoys cuddling with her humans. When she was with her temporary foster, she spent time with one of her kittens, where she showed her maternal side. She`s very curious and loves to explore. She loves feather toys, cat tubes, fake mice, climbing, and having a scratching post available to scratch on. We’re not sure how she is with dogs yet, but she doesn`t take long to warm up to humans, and she`ll be an instant best friend to anyone who adopts her!

Story
Hi my name is Wolfie! I was rescued outside in Lakeside with my mom and 7 siblings by a nice couple who fostered us while Smittens got us ready for adoption! I am very playful and sweet. I enjoy climbing in my cat tree, swinging on the curtains, chasing ping-pong balls, and juggling my mouse rattle toy. I am really quick to purr and enjoy taking naps in my kitty tent. I’d love to be adopted with one of my siblings to play with in our forever home! Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

Story
Hi my name is Lana! I was possibly abandoned in an apartment complex as nobody seemed to know where I came from. A nice lady took great care of me and then brought me into the care of Smittens. I am a gorgeous, super affectionate girl and I’m very social with humans. I can’t wait to find a warm, loving home to live my best life!

Story
Meet baby Olive! She’s such a sweet girl around 11 years old. She’s terrified of dogs and won’t eat or drink with dogs anywhere in the house. She is really timid and often times gets bullied by other cats too. Olive’s perfect home it would just be her and her new parent would be available to give her lots of pets, cuddles and love! 💕 She’s a shy girl but once she warms up she loves to cuddle all day long. Olive would come with a water fountain, a motorized litter box and her auto feeder with toys. She would only be rehomed to the perfect new parent(s). My husband and I are newly married and sadly don’t have the time to give her. We will be having children soon and don’t want to stress baby Olive out with a screaming new born. We’re in no rush to rehome so if you think you’re the perfect fit then fill out the application and I’d love to chat :)

Story
Goosey girl is an eight and half year old, domestic long hair kitty. Her fur is black, but when the sun hits it, it's a pretty chocolate brown. She was a ferral baby, she was being fed by a woman who would just through kibble on her porch in the back, she fed, like 20 cats. When Goose was rescued, she was pregnant with her third litter, and she was only two years old! After she had those babies, she was spayed, and I adopted her from the rescue six months later. Goose is an amazing girl. She gets along well with other animals, and she loves people. When I rescued my puppy, and brought him home, she immediately went up to him and started rubbing her head on his chest. Definelty went into "mom" mode. She will be nine years old in June. I need to rehome her because she's just not getting the attention she needs, especially since my pup takes a lot of my time and energy, he's kind of special needs. Goosey deserves to be with a family that can give her 100% of their attention.

Story
Kyo was adopted at the Escondido animal shelter when she was two years old. She was found and not recovered by her original family. She has many traits similar to a mancoon, although not the same size. She has been with one family since being adopted. She is currently 12 years old. As a result of her owners new job she is left at home more than before and is lonely. She enjoys being by her owners side, snuggling or playing. Kyo enjoys the sunshine of an enclosed patio, but should be watched as she will quickly want to explore and may get away if left alone. She lived with a family of two other cats at two different times, and while they tolerated her they never really hit it off. She is friendly with all individuals who would like to pet, brush, or play with her.
