Story
Come on in to the Owl House and give a warm hello to the adorable Hooty and Owlberta! We found these two adorable sisters as kittens abandoned and struggling, so we took them in and just look at them now! They are the closest of sisters, yet in some ways couldn’t be more opposite and complimentary too! Owlberta is short hair and very much a cat’s cat. She loves hanging out with other cats (not just her sister) and she loves playing, hunting, or chasing after her friends. Occasionally, she’ll be willing to grace a human with her presence, but she would much prefer the company of other cats instead and, if anything, you’ll be lucky to catch a glimpse of her as she’s playing. Her long-haired sister Hooty is in some ways the polar opposite, at least when it comes to humans: she will immediately run up for love, push against you for pets, or if you’re leaning back in a chair, she will gladly put her paws on your chest and demand your full love and attention! Yet she loves to play with other cats too, especially but not exclusively with her sister. While you won’t always find them hanging out with each other, they will absolutely play or wander together, and if you separate them, they will both let you know how unhappy they are, so we consider Hooty and Owlberta a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. They might be yin and yang in personality, but these two quirky sisters deserve to find a loving furever home, so will it be yours? They are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and ready to go today! Hooty and Owlberta are about 1 year old.

Story
Do you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, senior, independent kitty? Meet Cali, who came to Cat Crew after her owners moved out of state and her new home fell through. This sweet old gal is looking for a simple life. She just wants to live out the rest of her days lounging with her humans, getting pets/head scratches, and enjoying some catnip. It was discovered right before her previous owners moved that she has hyperthyroidism, which requires medication applied to her ears twice a day and a blood test twice a year. Cali is 12 years old and would prefer to be the only pet in her new home. Cali will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Cali is about 12 years old.

Story
Meet Khloe! Khloe is a gorgeous long haired girl who is looking for a forever home. Khloe was raised with her sisters, Kourtney and Kim, who weren’t fans of the human Pawparazzi always hanging around. But Khloe girl loved the attention so it’s only right we find her some life long fans. Khloe will need a home that is willing to be patient as she transitions to life without her sisters. Khloe enjoys head and ear scratches and relaxing on your lap as you watch your fav reality shows. Khloe will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Khloe was born in February.

Story
Send happy, warm greetings to the elegant Moya! This gorgeous long-haired tabby is a small, puffy ball of fun and love. Her soft fur will melt in your hands as she enjoys your pets, but her favorite activity by far is to run around chasing toys or siblings, and while she might be smaller than her littermates, she just uses that to streamline her body and move like a giant, adorable, furry blur! When she decides to pause for a moment, she gives you a look that you can't help but just immediately fall in love with! Maya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to be adopted into a home with some age-appropriate feline friends, so if you already can't get enough of her sweet face, apply to be her furever home today! Moya was born in May.

Story
Meet our precious little boy, Milkshake. Milkshake was born with a congenital physical abnormality, causing his back legs to be....upside down! He can't use his back legs for walking. However, he still has feeling in them and is generally unbothered by his physical limitations. He has a strong upper body and runs, climbs, and plays like a normal kitten. Plus you can always see those cute little beans!! What makes Milkshake truly unique is his fearlessness, a trait he's developed due to his deafness. Unlike other cats who run from the vacuum cleaner, Milkshake likes to chase it! He's happy to sleep through fireworks and isn't startled by loud sounds. While he hasn't met a dog, we think he would adjust well to one and possibly even become playmates with them. Milkshake first came to us late last winter after being picked up by a good samaritan who found him crossing the street alone and in the rain at night. He came to us very sick and covered in ringworm, but he has made a full recovery and is ready to find his forever home. While his legs may look concerning, our vet does not believe there will be any issues as he gets older, and despite everything, he doesn't require any special care. He can use a litter box, get upstairs, and climb cat trees like a normal cat! But you don't have to worry about him getting up on your counters :) Milkshake is just under a year old and fully grown. He is a tiny cat - partially due to his legs, so he comes in at around 5 lbs and is the size of a teenage kitten! Perfect for small apartments or living spaces ;) Milkshake is a very social cat who likes to snuggle up to bigger cats (or maybe dogs). When he is alone, he gets concerned and meows loudly. Because of this, he needs a home with at least one other pet who won't mind him following them around.

Story
Hi there! I'm Shaggy! I'm a long-haired, green-eyed brown tabby looking for my forever home. After spending over four years at the shelter and being adopted twice, I know what I like and what I don't. Here's a little about me: Likes: - Roaming space to explore - think big catios or high perches! - Quiet moments and alone time to recharge. - Being a skilled mouser - watch out, critters! - Dogs don't bother me at all; I'm pretty chill about them. - Wearing ties or bandanas - why not add a bit of style to my day? Dislikes: - Too much fuss and loud energy; I prefer a calm atmosphere. - Rushing into friendships; I need time to warm up and trust. - I've always been a bit of a rebel, doing my own thing, but once I feel comfortable, I can be a - loyal companion. If you're ready to embrace my unique spirit, I'd love to meet you!

Story
Minerva, who prefers the less formal "Minnie, is a sweet and sensitive 4-year-old longhaired tortoiseshell looking for a very patient adopter with experience helping shy cats gain confidence. Minnie lost the only home she knew when her elderly guardian was moved to a residence that did not allow pets. She is doing her best to overcome this traumatic experience, but she is very slow to adjust to new new places and new people. It took 18 months in foster care before she was brave enough to sit on her foster mom's lap, but now lap time is part of her daily routine, and she enjoys her evening bonding time, purring with contentment. Once you have earned Minnie's trust, she's a gentle companion with excellent litter box manners, a healthy appetite and good grooming skills. A successful match for Minnie would include a quiet indoor-only household with no children. She would be happy as a single pet, or might do fine with a gentle cat or dog that did not expect her to play or interact. She feels most comfortable in small spaces and though she does enjoy a cat tree and a window view, she spends quite a bit of time in her cozy box hideaway. Minnie does not like to be picked up, and will likely always have to be mildly sedated before going to vet appointments. She takes a daily anti-anxiety medication, and she is on prescription wet food for urinary health. Shy cats need and deserve love too, and Minnie is looking for a special person that will give her the time and compassion she needs to adjust to a new forever home.

Story
Introducing Watson! This talkative boy was recently returned to AFRP with his adoptive brother Chip due to no fault of their own after being adopted from us as kittens! Watson is quite a lively and talkative kitty who loves to let you know when it's time to play or get pets, both are frequent requests! He has recently "moved" into his foster's living room (aka it's his living room now!) splitting his time between napping and playing. Watson's playful side often leads to daytime zoomies, and his happy trills are sure to bring a smile to your face. Watson is bonded with his brother Chip and must be adopted with him! He and his brother both enjoy lounging on cat trees and towers, and they love watching 'cat TV'-birds, squirrels, and people walking their dogs through the window or sliding door. They even show off their hunting skills by chasing the occasional fly around the apartment! Watson's preferred home is with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over 15. It is unknown at this time how he would do with other animals in the home as he has only been housed with Chip. Watson is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.
