Not one to be a victim, Reina wasn’t afraid to approach people, and she immediately enlisted the help of some very kind girls in the neighborhood. They contacted The Rescue House, and now, Reina has a second chance at finding her forever family!Reina is a gorgeous, sweet girl! Like most kitties, she initially is bashful towards strangers or in new situations. Once Reina settles in and gets comfortable, however, she will happily cuddle up and ask for affection! In fact, she CRAVES your attention! Every morning when she hears you wake up, she will jump on the bed and deliver a big purr to say, “I’m ready for breakfast!” When you come home, she’ll eagerly run to greet you with her chatty meows. According to Reina, your touch is heavenly. The scritches combo of head + cheeks + chin will have her drooling with bliss! To keep her luscious long fur looking divine, she adores being brushed. Still a kitten at heart, she is extremely playful and finds great joy in chasing and jumping after wand toys! A skilled huntress, Reina gets her thrills from watching the birds and catching all the insects that creep into the house. When she needs some rest, she’ll stretch out on the sofa or lounge by a window. Her favorite spots are on the couch (snuggling next to her humans) and under the blankets where she can stay nice and toasty during the cold winter. When Reina was abandoned by her people, she unfortunately contracted both the feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) from outdoor community cats. There are no cures for these viruses. Although many cats can thrive for a normal life span with FIV, also having FeLV sadly will shorten her life expectancy. Currently, she has no symptoms or signs of illness related to either—she’s not on any medication and doesn’t need any treatment. While Reina cannot transmit FeLV to a creature of another species (such as a dog or a human), it can be passed in casual contact between kitties. As a result, Reina will need to be the only cat unless she joins a household with a resident FeLV+ feline. She has never

A true romantic, Diesel can’t wait to meet his forever-and-ever family!PERSONALITY: Diesel is a huge hunk of fluffy love! Our BIG boy is super sweet and very sociable. He adores human company and will often join in on the conversations. This chatty lad has plenty of stories to share with the crowd. He also can be handled or held without issue. Proud of his flowy coat, Diesel loves being brushed and pet. It’s a great way for you two to bond and keep him looking majestic! Experienced with kids, he enjoys being around the action and noise. With medication, his prognosis is very good. Healthy otherwise, this spry guy is expected to have a normal lifespan. Ever the optimist, he took his vet visits as opportunities to make friends. The clinic staff absolutely adored him! We have no doubt that Diesel will win over your entire family! COMPATIBILITY: Diesel would do well as a solo kitty or could live with another large male cat. He didn’t seem to warm up to the two female cats in his foster home. He has lived with a dog before and could likely adjust to a feline-friendly canine. Diesel also was raised right alongside the family’s young children and does well with kids of all ages. With his long locks and brilliant personality, Diesel is quite the catch!
