Story
Perla is an independent feline who will happily approach you when she's ready for pets and playtime. She is also a champion napper who loves to spend her time sleeping in the sun or perched up high where she can keep an eye on her domain. Perla is positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which can cause weakening of her immune system. FIV positive cats live normal lives for years if cared for and managed appropriately - they just need to be monitored for dental disease and infections. FIV positive cats should also be kept indoors to reduce the spread of infection to other cats though they can live with other cats as long as they don't fight. Perla also has Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, which is easily controlled with a special diet. To apply for adoption, please complete our application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WCAR/Cat

Story
Hi I am Arya! I am looking for a new home but please be patient with me. I am a little hesitant to be here and meet new people because of previous negative experiences with humans. So far, I like to spend my days under blankets and sometimes visiting with my fellow shy friends in my room. Even though I don't like pets yet, I will give you a loving slow blink. Feel free to ask the staff members about me! To apply for adoption, please complete our application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WCAR/Cat

Story
Hello, I'm Olive Oyl. I've lived many lives, but my favorite is being a sweet, friendly companion. I'm a bit shy, but don't let that fool you. I'm braver than most. I enjoy the simple things: a gentle stroke, and the soft hum of a friendly voice. My age? Well, I prefer to think of myself as 'experienced'. I've got a heart full of love and I'm ready to share it. Why should you adopt me? Because every home needs a bit of Olive Oyl's charm.

Story
Rufus is sponsored by: Will & Stephanie McIntosh SNAP Cats rescued Rufus from Whittier, CA. PLEASE NOTE: Rufus came to us as a 3 month-old FeLV+ kitten in August, 2023. Since Rufus made it to adulthood (which is rare for FeLV+ kittens) and was doing so well, we retested him for FeLV on October 8, 2024. He tested negative! We retest FeLV+ cats who make it to adulthood because they have a 60% chance of shedding the virus naturally. Rufus is now in the 60% Club! Rufus is the sweetest, most loving and vocal (when it comes to wet food) kitten ever! Rufus gets along great with the other kittens and cats, is extremely playful, and the cutest cat in our facility (don’t tell the other kittens!). Since Rufus is now FeLV- he’ll fit into any household who wants a very playful, loving kitty! If you’re interested in Rufus please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!January 15, 2025, 3:51 pm
