Story
Behavior & Temperament: This handsome one year old boy is truly the definition of a cuddlebug. He absolutely loves being close to his people and will happily snuggle up whenever he gets the chance. He is affectionate, gentle, and forms strong bonds with his humans. He adjusts well to new environments and typically only needs a few days to feel comfortable and settle in. Once he does, his loving and social personality really shines. Animal Interactions: No known concerns with other animals at this time. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended to help ensure a smooth transition into a new home. Foster Notes: He is fully litter box trained and has excellent house manners. He enjoys companionship and thrives in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention. He would make an incredible emotional support style companion thanks to his affectionate and people focused personality. Special Notes: He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. He is looking for a stable and loving home where he will not be left alone for extended periods, as he truly enjoys human companionship and connection.

Story
Oliver is a sweet 2 year old boy in need of a quiet home with room to play and financial support for further vet care. He is calm, playful and healthy but I believe he has PICA which causes him to ingest non food items repeatedly. I have done my best to limit any items he may be able to ingest but he continues to find new things. These items do not always become stuck but he has had to have two procedures because of this behavior. At this time I believe he needs to be evaluated for medication. It is unknown if he could potentially stop this issue with introduction to another cat companion. Overall he is cuddly, sweet and a bit timid. Ideally someone experienced with cats and able to provide for his special needs would make a great home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Zora – The Magical Queen of Your Heart   Zora is a four-year-old black-and-white tuxedo beauty with medium-to-long fur and a gaze that’s equal parts wise and wild. Rescued from the streets alongside her two kittens, Zora has undergone a breathtaking transformation—from sickly and emaciated to strong, vibrant, and glowing with health. Today, she’s not just surviving—she’s thriving.   One of the most loving little spitfires you’ll ever meet, Zora adores affection, cozy pets, and sharing moments of true connection. That said, she’s a cat who knows her boundaries and isn’t afraid to tell you when she’s had her fill of fuss. She’s playful, spirited, and has a hearty appetite for both food and fun.   Zora carries herself like a queen, with a mystical presence that feels more wizard than feline. She would do best in a home without other animals, where she can rule her domain in peace and receive the one-on-one attention she craves. Ideal adopters will be those who speak cat—folks who respect her autonomy, delight in her quirks, and are ready to love a magical little soul who will absolutely claim their heart.   Ready to be enchanted? Story
With her luxurious black and white fur and brilliant green eyes, Oakland is as beautiful as she is resilient! She was rescued in Oakland, CA at just 7 weeks old. She was born with deformities to all four legs: her front legs were able to be corrected as a kitten, leaving the back two that now point in unique directions, but that doesn’t slow her down for a second! With proper medical care and a ton of love and time to grow, she has become a funny, strong, and independent girl. She does take a moment to get used to new faces–although she doesn’t love to be held and carried around, she does love attention from people and other cats! For Oakland to have a full life at home with you, she needs you to continue her monthly Solensia injections and weekly Adequan injections for her arthritis in her back legs, and she needs cat trees in order to climb, but she is otherwise completely independent! Oakland would be happy as an only cat, or with a companion: She grew up with the other adoptable HOBC cats, and would love to bring one of her lifelong friends home with her! Cats with special needs like Oakland’s require at least some extra time, attention, and financial consideration than the average cat, and we want to ensure that you and Oakland will be an excellent match! Please find applications on our website. http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ Or Email us at: houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
One day, a tiny kitten suddenly appeared in someone’s backyard—right in the middle of a TNR-managed stray cat colony. That kitten was Smokey. He didn’t belong there, and no one knew where he came from. Surrounded by outdoor cats and unfamiliar dangers, Smokey was clearly out of place and struggling to survive on his own. When Smokey was finally picked up, he was terrified. Dirty, covered in fleas, and with greenish-yellow discharge from his eyes and nose, he tried desperately to escape. He didn’t bite or scratch—he was simply scared and unsure if he was safe. Life before rescue had not been kind to him. With medical care, warm meals, and a quiet place to rest, Smokey slowly began to heal. His body recovered first… and then his heart followed. Today, Smokey is a total sweetheart—but he still needs time to adjust to new people, new environments, and new cats. What truly helped Smokey come out of his shell was having another cat around. He loves being near other cats, even though he may hiss at first when meeting them. His foster mom says he copies exactly what her cat does and follows her everywhere. Over time, he bonded so closely with her that he now sleeps in her bed and curls up on her belly every night. Once Smokey feels safe and comfortable, his playful personality shines. He loves toys, enjoys interactive play, and gets very excited about food and treats. He’s a gentle boy who just needs patience and reassurance to show how loving he truly is. Smokey is looking for a forever home that understands he needs a little time to trust—and ideally, a feline friend to help guide him. In return, he will give you quiet loyalty, sweet companionship, and the joy of watching a shy kitten blossom into a loving family member.

Story
💤 Snorlax is a quiet, affectionate boy with a tender heart who just needs time, patience, and love to truly blossom. He’s extremely shy and will likely take a while to warm up to new people and environments—but once he feels safe, his sweet, gentle personality begins to shine through. Snorlax doesn’t like being picked up and prefers affection on his own terms. He enjoys calm companionship, cozy hiding spots, and a peaceful environment where he can observe and relax without pressure. His ear is tipped, a mark of his past life outdoors, but he’s ready to leave that chapter behind and learn what it means to be loved and cared for. He’s fully litter box trained, quiet, and easygoing once settled. Snorlax is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time he needs to adjust. In return, he’ll reward you with quiet trust, affection, and the joy of watching a shy soul slowly come out of his shell.
