Story
Introducing Miss Ariadne, a gorgeous older lady who is sweet as sugar. She loves to be petted and cuddled and will let you do it as long as you want. She’s a petite lady with a quiet, refined meow. She loves fuzzy mice toys and is so cute playing with them! She’d be perfectly happy as an only kitty as long as her human is around a lot for pets. She would also be willing to co-exist with another chill cat. No dogs or small children! Ariadne is reaching retirement and wants a quiet, peaceful life. Her beautiful long coat will require regular brushing, and she has a “crinkle ear” which will require regular cleaning. What girl doesn’t need a spa day occasionally? Ariadne was found outdoors but it’s obvious that her previous life included a loving family and a comfy home. We want her to have that again. She was born in the fall of 2016. She is up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, spayed and microchipped. She also recently had a dental. Ariadne’s adoption fee is $80. Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog. Saturday and Sunday we are open for walk-in visitors from 11 to 2:30. NO Appointment needed on Saturday and Sunday. We are open for adoption by appointment only Wed thru Friday. Please copy this link to schedule your appointment for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. https://foothillsanimalrescue.as.me/schedule/e47d5799Hi there, I’m Tagalong! I’m a handsome brown tabby kitten, and while I’m a little shy right now, I promise I’m full of love just waiting to be shared! My two brothers and I recently came to this place, and it’s all a bit overwhelming for me, so I’m taking my time to adjust. But don`t worry—I’m warming up to everything little by little! I might be quiet at first and prefer to observe from a safe spot, but once I feel comfortable, I’ll be right by your side. I really love getting pets—especially gentle ones. It makes me purr with happiness! While I’m still a little uncertain about this big world, I know that there’s so much good stuff here, like soft hands, cozy spots, and maybe even some toys to chase. I may need a little patience as I settle in, but once I do, you’ll see how sweet and affectionate I can be. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who just needs a little time and understanding, I could be the perfect fit for you.

Story
Meet Malachite, born 4/11/2024 (best estimate), a delightful little mandarin colored fluffy kitten. He was born in his foster's home with his two siblings. All named after their mom Amber and non-precious stones, this handsome energetic fuzzball is full of snuggles and tenderness. He loves to nuzzle and give affection. Malachite is quiet curious and very sociable, getting along well with the other kittens he's met. He can climb a cat tower in 1.1 seconds and loves to play! He is such a little sweetie. While he hasn't met any dogs yet, he may need some time to adjust to one. Malachite is litter box trained, keeps his fur clean, and loves ear rubs and treats. His favorite toys are fluffballs, feathers, and wand toys. If you’re looking for a sweet and playful companion, Malachite might be the perfect match for you! He’s up to date on vaccines, including rabies, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $160. December 20, 2024, 8:26 pm

Story
Doja is a very sweet girl I have had her for about 2 years now. I adopted her from a previous living situation that was not working out. She is a great companion, and LOVES to cuddle once she is comfortable with you. We’ve been on a weight loss journey since adopting her lol, and it’s coming along well. She is bigger for a cat. She has lived with other animals in the past and does well. I don’t currently have any other animals. Adoption fee is 100% negotiable, I just want to meet the new owner to ensure she is going in to the best hands. I’m moving and greatly downsizing, and would love to find a new home for her beforehand.

Story
Tiana is a very sweet and loving cat. She is a DLH calico with soft fur. She loves to be picked up and held and will put her arms around a person's neck. She is super affectionate and loves people and craves human attention. She is also playful and especially enjoys playing with interactive toys like the Cat Dancer. She makes a unique sound like a frog croaking, so she's named after Tiana in Disney's, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana does have FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but it’s not a big deal! With proper care, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live long, healthy, and happy lives. What you need to know about FIV: FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus: It’s a slow-acting virus that can weaken a cat’s immune system over time, making them more susceptible to infections. How it’s transmitted: FIV is spread through deep bite wounds between cats. Casual contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, or playing does not spread the virus so Tiana can safely live with other friendly cats after proper introductions. FIV doesn’t spread to humans, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Lifespan: With regular vet care and a stable, indoor environment, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live as long as FIV-negative cats. Symptoms: Many FIV-positive cats show no symptoms for years. When properly cared for, they often live healthy, normal lives. Care requirements: Keep Tiana indoors to reduce exposure to potential infections, feed her a high-quality diet, and schedule regular veterinary check-ups to monitor her health. Tiana is ready to be your sweet lap cat and fill your life with purrs and love. Are you ready to give this amazing girl the forever home she deserves? Come meet Tiana today—you’ll fall in love instantly! Approx. DOB: 3/10/21 If you would like to meet Tiana, please go to https://hart-az.org/hart-cats and fill out an application. If approved, we will contact you to set up a time for a meet and greet.

Story
Stevie Budd is a super sweet girl that we took in from a horrible hoarding situation. She is a bit shy but with time will be a great addition to any home.  She is very food motivated, she loves her dry kibble and is used to getting wet food two times a day in her foster home. She has come a long way. Stevie Budd is good with other kitties after proper introductions. We do not know of any prior exposure to dogs so a slow introduction is recommended. Stevie is tested, spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Her estimated birth date is 4/30/2015 and her adoption fee is $100.November 6, 2024, 1:52 pm

Story
Onyx and Tanzanite are a bonded pair of indoor only cats in need of a new home due to their owner developing a medical condition. Onyx is almost 7, he is listed as a Mainecoon mix. He has very ling soft black fur and is a complete cuddle bug. Onyx wants to be wherever the people are and spends most of his day cuddling with his person. When he is not with you he enjoys exploring in his enclosed outdoor catio and napping or playing with his brother. Onyx is very out going and greets new people. He has the quietest meow and adorable “vampire fangs”. Both cats love kids and being carried and tolerate dogs that let them be. Onyx does have asthma that is very well controlled with his inhailer and some seasonal allergies also controlled with his omega supplements and ocasiobal baths which he tolerates fantasticly. He is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped , had several bi annual blood work panels run and has had three routine dentals. Tanzanite is the baby at 3 years old. Much like his brother Tanzanite is an absolute love and will cuddle and give kisses however he is more active and enjoys exploring his catio and the house quite a bit. He is a very vocal cat and likes to meow and talk to you. Loves playing with toys and forehead scratches. He enjoys being carried around and being held. Tanzanite tolerates dogs and loves kids but takes a little longer to warm up to new situations and is more Cautious at first. Tanzanite also has asthma but has only needed his inhailer once. He had one episode of stress induced urinary inflammation and has since been on a urinary care diet as a precaution. He is neutered, microchipped current on all vaccines and lab work and has had one routine dental. The cats will go to the new home with any of the supplies that their family wishes to take. Catio, cat tree , litter box furniture, enclosed litter boxes, shampoo, medication, hides and beds, toys, supplements, treats , cases of prescription food , litter , feliway defuser and refills, toys. My number is 480-433-1993 I will answer any text requests or questions.November 6, 2024, 1:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tommy is a bit of a troublemaker. He doesn't play well with all cats. He's selective and prefers female cats.   Tommy is also an amazing escape artist, and we want him to be an indoor cat, so it will take a  diligent owner to make sure he doesn't run away. He is a very sweet boy, though, and will sit on your lap for pets, and he also loves to play with toys.  He needs an experienced owner because if he is messed with too much, he will fight back. Things like getting him into a carrier and relocating him by picking him up can be hard if you don't handle him calmly and quietly. Tommy deserves a home of his own. I believe the right person is out there for this handsome boy! He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative to felv/fiv, and microchipped. Please fill out an application on the website of you would like to meet him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Fuzzy Bucket is 1 of 3 kittens born to a feral mom (Fur Bucket and Fluffy Bucket…available for adoption soon). Fuzzy is very independent but enjoys playing with other kitties and getting loves and snuggles on the couch. He has been raised with other kittens and adult cats. He really has taken a liking to the the adults and can be found following them around and seeking their attention. He would do good in a home with a young playful adult cat who is in need of a companion or a home with another kitten or with one of his siblings or friends from here. He would also be fine as an only cat, but having a friend would be prefered. Fuzzy Bucket has been health checked, altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He will come with his medical records, new kitty carrier, baby blankie, dry food, variety of wet food, litter, new litter box if needed, treats, snacks, favorite toys, new toys, and whatever else he has claimed as his own while on vacation with us. If you are interesting in meeting Fuzzy bucket, please fill out our questionnaire. https://forms.wix.com/r/7207729348810375426

Story
de Oro (of gold) was taped into a cardboard box and left outside an office. He is very shy, but totally sweet-natured ... in no way aggressive. Having said that, he behaves almost feral if you try to pick him up. He is beautiful and has amazingly soft hair and purrs whenever he is pet ... loves the attention ... but is still working on coming out for attention. He is 5-7 years old. Like most rescues, we don't believe he is a purebred anything, but he is so non-aggressive, so soft and has tufts of white coming out of his ears ... like a small Maine Coon. He has white at his throat. He keeps getting prettier and rubs against my legs when feeling confident.. He loves to be around the other non-aggressive cats, but won't defend food against the aggressive ones. On the other hand, he loves Fancy Feast!. We consider de Oro a "project" since we expect him to continue getting prettier and more loving ... but have no idea how long that will take. It won't happen in rescue with other cats.
