Story
Approximate Date of Birth:9/20/2023 Description:   Petey is a very sweet and very shy little guy. He came in with his two sisters and they are great about spending time with him and helping him feel braver. He might appreciate a cat friend to be his wing-cat, so if you’re looking for two, he’d love to go home with either of his super outgoing sisters Julie or Katie! Petey will need time and patience to come out of his shell, and has made a lot of progress already in his foster home. He is a sweet boy and as he starts to get more comfortable he likes to be brushed and petted – he will really lean into those scratches! Petey will play with toys by himself or with his sisters, but is unsure of playing with a human’s help. He is looking for a forever family who will appreciate his sweet personality and give the time and confidence to become his full cat-self!. Words to Describe Me: Sweet, shy, loving, recluse, beautiful, silky, shiny. Favorite Place to Sleep: Petey loves to sleep in an enclosed bed. Like a cat house. Favorite Toy: scratching post, balls and stuffed fish. Toys he can play by himself. Perfect Day: His perfect day starts with laying in the sun. Playing with some toys and loving his sisters. Petey really looks for support from the sisters. Kitty's Likes: Petey loves to have his chin  and ears scratched. He does this cute booty raise. Kitty's Dislikes: fast movements, having his feet touched (he will hiss at you), belly rubs, or being held – he needs more time to learn to be comfortable with all of this Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Scratch behind those ears. The little sweety will lean into it and start purring away. Favorite Treat: He likes all the crunchy treats and churu in a bowl– won’t take from your hand yet but will eat it near you Job Title in Foster: Baby brother When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Loved by my forever family Other Info: Petey needs slow movement, soft tone when speaking to him. Any fast movement startels him. Good with Cats: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met another cat.).  Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)    Good with Children: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any children.)  Companion Animal: He would love to be adopted with his sister, Julie.  Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
