Story
Regina is what we call a closet kitty. She is perfectly content hanging out in "her" closet all day and you coming to pet her. She will explore while you are asleep and every now and then you will catch her out and about. If you catch her she will high tail it back to her closet. She does fine being picked up and loved on but she just prefers her safe space in the closet. Regina was rescued from a hoarder with her sister wife Gretchen. Regina is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, combo tested (neg), and dewormed.

Story
A six-year-old longhaired female cat is in the prime of her adult years, exuding grace and elegance with her flowing, silky coat. Her fur, whether a luxurious Persian mane or a soft Maine Coon ruff, requires regular grooming to maintain its beauty and prevent tangles. She has likely settled into her personality, displaying a mix of independence and affection, with moments of playful energy balanced by long, leisurely naps in sunny spots. At this stage, she is confident and comfortable in her environment, forming deep bonds with her human companions while maintaining the regal demeanor that longhaired cats are known for.Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each cat adoption fee of $125 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, testing for feline AIDS, leukemia, and heartworms, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses. Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit card, or money order.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure. Her health and well-being are key priorities at this age, with regular vet check-ups ensuring she remains in peak condition. A high-quality diet, suited to her breed and coat needs, keeps her fur shiny and her energy levels steady. She may show preferences for cozy spots, favoring soft blankets or perches where she can observe her surroundings with keen, intelligent eyes. While she enjoys playtime, she likely appreciates routine and the comfort of familiar spaces. A well-cared-for longhaired cat at six years old is a picture of beauty and contentment, thriving in a loving home that respects her unique personality and needs.

Story
Charlie is a gentle and affectionate 6-year-old male long-haired cat with a beautiful black, gray, and brown coat. His laid-back demeanor makes him a cherished companion, always ready to curl up beside his favorite human for a cozy nap. Long-haired cats like Charlie often have calm and friendly personalities, enjoying the company of their families and adapting well to indoor life. To keep Charlie`s luxurious coat healthy and free from mats, regular grooming is essential. Daily brushing helps prevent tangles, distributes natural oils, and reduces hairballs. Using a slicker brush or comb with long teeth, gently work through his fur, starting from the top layer and moving down to the undercoat. Be cautious not to tug on any knots to avoid discomfort. Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Whiskey is a bit shy, but once he feels comfortable and safe his personality shines. He enjoys playing with other kittens and toys. He is fine with gentle dogs, but has not experienced children in his foster home. Whiskey even enjoys the occasional play batting around in his water bowl. He has learned that pets from humans are really nice. He will thank you with loud purrs when you pet him, and also enjoys the warmth of sleeping with his humans at night. Whitney would be best in a calm household without young children or dogs, but would enjoy other feline friends.
