Story
Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Groot is a 137 lb male Mastiff mix, black & white sweet as can be.  He showed up at a local store to shop for his own treats without an owner.  Sadly no owner ever came looking for him.  Groot is a big lush!  Sits & shakes on command, loves everyone.  Seems perfectly fine with all other dogs male and female, big and small.  But still can always be best to do a female as a buddy.  Ok with cats but they might not be ok with him as he is big and also very playful.  He is a bit of an Ox on a leash so you have to be honest with yourself if you can manage a 137 dog full of muscle that doesn't have perfect leash manners.  Let's say older children like teens and up as he could be a bit much for small children. Handsome as can be!   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
