He was rescued just hours before he and his beloved companion, Coco, were set to be euthanized at a rural shelter in San Antonio, Texas. At first, it seemed like the end of the road, both dogs appeared fragile, defeated and it was assumed they might only have a short time left. But with the love and care of their foster mom, Bruno and Coco began to thrive. For a year and a half, they enjoyed a happy, full life together, filled with cuddles, walks, and the joy of finally being safe and loved. Sadly, Coco’s health began to decline, and she has since passed, leaving Bruno to grieve the loss of his lifelong best friend. Now, Bruno is ready for the next chapter, a loving home where he can spend his golden years in peace and comfort. He’s a gentle, easygoing boy who doesn’t ask for much: just a soft couch, someone to love him, and the quiet companionship of a devoted human. He is very playful and absolutely loves playing catch — he could chase a ball all day if you let him! He also loves to eat and gets very excited for mealtime and treats. He’s amazing with kids and does well with other dogs. He just wants to be part of the family and be included in everything. He’s affectionate, loyal. This has been such a hard decision for us, but we want him to have the time, attention, and space he truly deserves. We are looking for a loving, responsible home that will treat him like family.
