Story
Bruno was rescued with his other half Coco hours before they were set to be euthanized at a rural shelter in San Antonio Texas. It was assumed it would be a hospice case as both dogs seemed to decline quickly, especailly Coco. After days and nights of nursing both back to health, their amazing foster finally brought these two amazing Dogos back to health. They love playing around in the yard, going for walks and taking naps in the sun. They are tightly bonded and will only be adopted together.  They do well with people and other dogs, with slow intros. They need a family to love them through their golden years! Are you willing to give this wonderful pair a relaxing and loving home?

Story
Hi, I'm Andy! I'm a super handsome 2-year-old dogo, and if I do say so myself, my eyes are mesmerizing. Seriously, they could stop traffic. I’m a total charmer and, let’s be honest, I want ALL your attention. Like, all of it. All. Of. It. Why am I homeless, you ask? Well, let me tell you my sob story. I was found roaming the streets in a Texas neighborhood, abandoned and looking pretty rough. It wasn’t my best look—skinny, dirty, and burnt (from either sunburn or chemicals but my rescue people don’t know dog language so it’s hard to tell them what happened to me!). Thankfully some kind humans saved me. After they scooped me up, I found my way to this cool rescue. Now, I’m heartworm positive (bummer, I know), but don't worry! I'm strong enough now to get the treatment I need, and I’m ready to get back to my charming, energetic self. You know, once all this wormy business is handled. Gross. Don’t worry though because dogs like me go through this all the time and end up living a long, good life so I am looking forward to that! I’m currently chilling near Houston, TX, but listen—I’m willing to travel anywhere for love. Cats? Yeah, I’ve seen a few. They're like furry, tiny couches that move. Not a big deal. I could probably live with one if you show me how to behave around them. I'm a fast learner, promise! As far as dogs, I can be moody if they are! I’ll admit, I need a little help with my manners (don’t we all?), but I’m eager to please! Give me some training and confidence-boosting, and I’ll be your perfect companion in no time. Oh, and I’m a bit of a ladies' man, just FYI. Men? Eh, I need to take my time warming up to them. But with the right introductions, I’m sure I can charm anyone, eventually! So, who’s ready to give me all the belly rubs and attention I deserve? So there I was, just chilling in the dog yard, minding my own business, when suddenly—BAM!—a bunch of chickens and turkeys decided to fly into my area. I’m talking about a whole poultry parade! Now, you’d think I would have had myself a little field day, right? Feathers flying everywhere, chicken nuggets for dinner? Nope! I just sat there like a true gentleman, hanging out with my new feathery pals. No barking, no chasing, just vibing. Everyone was watching like, "Here we go, this is the end for those birds," but nah, I was more like, “Hey, you guys wanna sit in the shade together?” Turns out, I’m not really into fast food—I prefer my friends with feathers intact! *Please note: Andy will be neutered prior to adoption. We have to get him cleared medically prior to this procedure!*

Jovi is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! We are so happy for this boy and can't wait for him to find his forever family! Jovi is currenly being boarded on the outskirts of Houston, TX as he is awaiting a foster home!! He was in the shelter for 5 months before we had the ability to pull him and we are so glad he is with us now because he is amazing! Formerly known as "Vadar", but now our handsome Jon Bon Jovi needs a foster that can help him get through heartworm treatment.  We cover everything!  Jovi is a good boy and very patient and tolerant of other female dogs and pups. Cats are a no for Jovi and he seems to be your typical male dogo who is super fun, loving, and likes to be a boy.  He is very gentle and sweet so we expect he will do great in his very own home! He is good at his manners and won't react to other dogs unless he has to remind them he can bark back too.  He does very well with learning new things and the basic training.  He is driven and eager to please so that makes training dogs like Jovi fun and rewarding! If you can help foster this amazing guy please let us know! If you want to help sponsor the costs of his heartworm  treatment you can donate here or at dcdogos.org/donate

Story
Ariel is looking for a new home! She was rescued from a very unfortunate situation with her breeding partner Ren and their 4️⃣ puppies (aka the Breakfast Club pups). All were severly neglected but wow, have they rebounded!  Ariel is high energy and will do best in a home with children older than 10 with supervision and slow introductions. She needs a family that will give her TIME AND PATIENCE and understand that she has never been shown boundaries or consistancy. She needs a solid decompression period of rest and repreive. Ariel is going to be the BEST companion, hiking buddy, jokester and zoomie girl! She just needs a chance. ✨From her fosters: “Ariel is feisty, courageous, very puppy-like and very smart. She learned how to open up our back door latch the first day she was with us!” She is curious and likes to explore the house but never strays far from her humans, especially her foster dad. She is playful and initiates most of the play with Ren. She is working on being house trained and crate trained too! 🐾 💃🏻Ariel will do well with a submissive male dog in the home with her. She will need basic training and lots of exercise to ensure she doesn’t get herself into trouble. She is loving and will probably be a velcro Dogo, judging from the past week! 🥰  She will need strict boundaries to ensure she stays safe. 🐾 💃🏻Ariel is currently in Texas. We are willing to transport within reason. Ariel needs to move into a foster or adoptive home ASAP. 🐾

Story
Hi, I’m Dolly! I’m the sweetest, smartest girl you’ll ever meet. I’m a three year old Dogo/Boxer mix, around 67 lbs. Check out my cool eye patch, I hear they call it “pirata.’” Although I can be super athletic, my favorite thing to do is cuddle on the couch with people. I can learn anything new in five minutes! I just want to make you happy. I have excellent manners, I can sit, offer my paw, and stay. I’m a lady, of course, so my house training is impeccable! I like to chew on bones, and I love to play with my squeaky toys (until I feel it’s time to dismantle them.) I love the water and have so much fun when I see a hose turned on. I can be shy with new people, but once I get to know you, all I want to do is give you hugs and kisses. I love babies and children, though sometimes i forget my size and bump into them when we play, so I’d love siblings that are as big as me. I sometimes don’t like to share my people with other animals, I prefer to be your one true love. If I am, I promise to reward you with all of my trust, love, loyalty, and affection. Story
Meet this sweet boy, Georgie (previously Bruno), who was abandoned at a local dog park. One of our volunteers found him with a note attached. He had a family but they could no longer care for him so they left him where they hoped a true dog lover would find him. Fortunately, the plan worked. Georgie is about 10 months old, possibly lab, boxer mix. He is vaccinated and neutered and heartworm negative! He is a sweet boy but like most young pups needs training and exercise. Check out this video by Georgie's foster  https://vimeo.com/934607900/8e64769336?share=copy If you are interested in adopting this adorable boy who is so deserving of a great home fill out our application right away,  www.scoutshonor.org    November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chango has found himself needing a new home. His family will miss him, but their living situation is changing. He is a great dog, gets along well with other dogs and loves his people.   Original Bio: Hello everyone allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chango. Lots of changes have been happening in my life lately. I have been wandering the streets looking for food when I was given the greatest opportunity to be fed everyday and even have my own soft, warm bed. I’m still a youngster approximately 1 year old, I’m a little under weight but I love to eat so it won’t take me any time at all to gain some weight. I am heart worm negative and received a clean bill of health. I am well behaved in the kennel. While I am still in the puppy stage I have mastered potty training and I love to run fast. I’m still learning what toys are for-didn’t have too many on the streets. I’m looking for an active home that will play fetch, preferably older kids (just so I don’t knock little ones down) I’m good with other dogs so that would be a plus, I like long walks in the evenings and in exchange I promise to give lots of cuddles and many years of being your best friend. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello! I'm Boerne (Bernie), I'm a nice, handsome fella looking for my furever people! I love my stuffies, but I'd rather not share them, unless I'm playing tug with my people!  I am learning to "leave it" so you can throw it for me too! I enjoy carrying them around with me wherever I go, but will drop them for a back scratchin', hugs, or to chase my bubbles! I LOVE bubbles!! I can get a lot of exercise just chasing them!  I also love care rides and pup cups.  I don't even mind a bath.  I'm pretty easy to please, honestly.  I'm a handsome distinguished gentlemen at around 6 to 7 years old (that's what the vet thinks but I have the energy of a younger man) My foster mama always brags about my excellent listening skills.  I'm great off leash at my country foster home, but will also do well on a walk with a leash.  I know many commands and will even politely shake your hand. I was in a foster home with other dogs, but I wanted to be the KING of the house.  Therefore, I will do best with a home where I am the MAN....like, the only man, dog, critter.  I will reward you with all of my love and affection for the rest of my life! So, if you are looking someone to be your best buddy....I'm your guy.  Apply for Boerne today...you will not be disappointed! He is truly a great pup!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2024, 7:57 pm
