Story
Pippi got to AAC in May and we have completely fallen in love with her. Check out what a Volunteer recently had to say, “I met her for the first time today - when I walked into her kennel she immediately jumped on me and was very friendly and all smiles.”Pippi seems very house trained, as she frequently goes to the bathroom in designated spots and keeps her kennel clean. She LOVES her play yard time - specifically rolling around in the grass and then asking her humans for belly rubs. She’s a smart girl - she already knows Sit and Down, and is very treat motivated, which will make learning future commands with you a breeze! It’s all smiles with Pippi - come see for yourself and visit her in the 400s building!

Sitter Needed: 05/30/2024 - 06/04/2024 Sitter Needed: 05/23/2024 - 05/28/2024 If you come to meet Elastigirl, she will tell you what her perfect weekend is. It starts by going to a dog park -- especially Zilker Park. She'll hop in your car, hoping you'll give her a ride to Zilker. Once there, she'll stick her head out the window and gently smile at strangers, and then she'll jump out to roll in the grass and play fetch. So happy to be there! This sweet girl also loves going for walks. She's very curious at first and will try to pull and sniff everything, but soon calms down. She will make an excellent running partner. Given a slow introduction to new people, she's very calm and gentle with them. Back home from her trips to the park, Elastigirl cuddles with her fosters to thank them for taking her there. She also wants lots of their scratches, her tail wagging and wiggling all over. She is a very treat-motivated fast learner, especially when given the peanut butter treats she loves. She understands sit, stay, left paw and right paw. She likes her comfy crate and loves sitting on comfy blankets and pillows there. She's happy to go in and sleep when her fosters are gone. And she is house-trained. Elastigirl will love to be the only pet in a home with adult parents who are home a lot and give her playtime and those cuddles she loves. She seems to especially love females. Come meet this playful girl. Offer her a cuddle and trip to Zilker and she'll follow you home!

Story
**PLEASE NOTE** *BELLA IS COMPLETELY DEAF** Meet Bella! Bella had a rough start in life, she was found abandoned in a dumpster. Despite everything she’s been through Bella is a true sweetheart. She is full of life, energy and love! She is very curious, loves to jump around and will be your little shadow. Bella’s ideal forever home is an owner who can handle the responsibility of a deaf pup. Bella is very smart and has been picking up on the hand signs we’ve been teaching her so if you’re looking for a forever cuddle buddy with unconditional love, Bella is your girl! The vet estimated her to be around 3 years old with a clean bill of health (besides being deaf). My fiancé and I would love to keep Bella ourselves but due to human health issues we are can’t to give her the time she truly needs to thrive. We haven't see her with other pups but we do have a cat. Bella is such an amazing pup who’s been through some hard times, she deserves the world and we’re hoping to find it for her.

Story
Charlotte was adopted from a small local rescue in 2019. Her birthday is 11/21/18 (will turn 6 in November). She is deaf. She is a large, muscular dog, but also very mild-mannered. She has had formal obedience training. I need to re-home her because my elderly mother will be coming to live with me and cannot be trusted to not jump up on her, accidentally trip her, etc. She loves peanut butter or easy cheese lick pads. She could go to a home with other dogs, but would also do great in a single dog home. I would love to see her with an active family, although not required. The family should be prepared that they will have to use more hand gestures for communication and be physically able to handle a large dog.

Story
Karma is very sweet girl. She was originally a foster I took on for a friend but she was unable to take her back so she's been my dog for a few years now. She came from a shelter in AZ, the story I was told was that she was a breeder dog and then was just dumped. She loves to cuddle, loves to go to the water, does well in the car. Right now she has a doggie friend and she does get along well with other dogs, with proper introductions. She also has a kitty cat that she plays with. I had to relocate to Texas because of my in laws and I brought her with me. But I am now expecting a baby in January and will be moving back to AZ. I would rather not put her through another move and a 16 hour drive, she deserves a nice quiet home that can give her the love and attention she needs. I love her and want her to go to a home that will love her just the same

These pups are in Austin, Texas too!

Story
King is a sweet lil charmer who wears his smiles like a badge. Although he`s about 70 lbs, he`s shorter statured and very solid and fit which makes him compact. He`s a perfect leash walker, very easy and he always passes all the nearby dogs while minding his own business. He`s such a very good boy and bonus, he`s SUPER house trained (like a tank) and he likes to cuddle. There`s nothing more to say except `when are you going to get here to meet him?` He`s advocated for by all his friends and fans including ClassicCaninesATX who help build bridges home for mature dogs that are stuck at a fork in the road of life due to a hardship. Don`t delay when a sweet shelter dog could be sleeping comfortably at home instead of in a kennel.
