Story
Barko Polo is deaf and requires someone who is capable of training him. I adopted him last year in October to help me with my PTSD however he requires more than I’m able to provide as far as training. He is a loving dog who has a lot of energy. I am also assisting two elderly disabled seniors and he had been too much for us to handle. I would love to see him go to a loving home who is properly able to fit his needs. This is really difficult for me as he’s been with me through some difficult times . I just don’t have the resources to do better by him.

So, you think by being named after the INFAMOUS Rhaegar Targaryon I would lead a SUPER EXCITING life, right?? Fighting for my kingdom all the time, secret affairs and annulments, right??? Well I am BORING compared to my namesake :) And that is ok, I am just a BIG puppy trying to make my way in a BIGGER world! Now, I AM a Dogo Argentino and you don't run across our breed very often in the rescue world but the rescuers know that as a big puppy I need strong family leaders- to keep me out of trouble :) And I need to go to a family who will not SECRETLY annul our adoption and not give up on my big puppy ways. You have to know that I am very loving and play like a big galoof with my brother and foster siblings. I will thrive in a home where I can get lots of attention as well as you teach me how to be the bestest Dogo you have ever met!! Exercise my brain and I won't get bored :D AdOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
It's time for  a very special introduction....our sweet, special boy Samson, or as his foster family calls him... Scooter &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Scoot came to the rescue in February of 2023 as a puppy. He's an extra special guy with some extra special needs.  He's mostly paralyzed in the back end and is also incontinent...but let us tell you, that doesn't slow him down one bit! He is silly and playful and extra sweet.  Upon entering his foster home, Scoot started hydrotherapy, which has helped him immensely. He's able to use his back legs some but mostly scoots around and still needs a wheelchair for walks and outings.  In addition, Scooter went to a neurologist in Columbus so we could figure out what caused this and if it was fixable. We got our answer pretty quickly... Neosporosis.  Neospora is a parasite that was passed to him in utero from his mom. It paralyzes muscles. He started antibiotics immediately to kill the parasite and keep it from doing further damage. We can't fix Scoot, he is how he is...which is PERFECT!  Scooter is almost finished with his antibiotics, but still takes daily meds to help with his urinary incontinence, probiotics, and a joint supplement.  He is loved beyond measure in his foster home, even though he's  a little "extra." However, the time has come to let him spread his wings and fly in his forever home &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Samson is great with other digs, kids and cats. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Story
Hi, I'm Bubba. I am a boxer/pit mix and I'm around 9 years old. I weigh between 60-65 pounds and would be your next lap cuddle buddy if you let me. I love belly scratches and ear massages. I currently live with two little kids and they play all over me. I have had play dates with other dogs and love to run around with them. Smaller dogs are better as I am not so sure about larger dogs. I enjoy being outside and running around. I love to go on walks but need a little training on the leash. I am a sucker for dog biscuits/treats and happily will sit, shake, and lay down to receive them. Due to my past, I have separation anxiety so someone who is around a lot or works from home would be ideal. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.
