Story
Barko Polo is deaf and requires someone who is capable of training him. I adopted him last year in October to help me with my PTSD however he requires more than I’m able to provide as far as training. He is a loving dog who has a lot of energy. I am also assisting two elderly disabled seniors and he had been too much for us to handle. I would love to see him go to a loving home who is properly able to fit his needs. This is really difficult for me as he’s been with me through some difficult times . I just don’t have the resources to do better by him.

Story
OK, so I have never even SEEN Game of Thrones, and YET I am named after one of the MAIN characters?? One eyed Aemond?? I mean, I understand that the very well placed eye patch is a definite "nod" to Aemond One-Eye and my fur is the shining platinum of his hair... and maybe I have his personality too and that magnetic charm that he has.... OK, I just convinced myself that I AM HIM!!! Aemond the Kinslayer here and I am looking for some KIN to LOVE ME and I promise SLAYER is the furthest thing from my mind :D Unless it means slaying your hearts. Now, I am a BIG puppy full of love and cuddling. My brother and I were dumped at a vet's office when we got big and the "breeder" couldn't SELL us... however, the rescuers saw how lovely we are and saved us before the "breeder" even left the office :) NOW is our turn and I am looking at YOU :) ADOPT.... DON'T SHOP!!! Cause RESCUES ROCK!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

So, you think by being named after the INFAMOUS Rhaegar Targaryon I would lead a SUPER EXCITING life, right?? Fighting for my kingdom all the time, secret affairs and annulments, right??? Well I am BORING compared to my namesake :) And that is ok, I am just a BIG puppy trying to make my way in a BIGGER world! Now, I AM a Dogo Argentino and you don't run across our breed very often in the rescue world but the rescuers know that as a big puppy I need strong family leaders- to keep me out of trouble :) And I need to go to a family who will not SECRETLY annul our adoption and not give up on my big puppy ways. You have to know that I am very loving and play like a big galoof with my brother and foster siblings. I will thrive in a home where I can get lots of attention as well as you teach me how to be the bestest Dogo you have ever met!! Exercise my brain and I won't get bored :D AdOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi! My name is Buddy Guy. I was 8 months old when I came 'round these parts from Georgia. I was lost and forgotten and not given much learnin' that was until MVPC found me. I was desperate for help and they gave all that to me and something I never had before, the feeling of safety. I am forever grateful for their help. I must move on they told me and find a forever family to help build me into the best dog that I can be. I know right off, that I am a large boy. I am tall. Currently holding around 80lbs. I am under 2 years old. I LOVE TO PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, AND DID I SAY PLAY? My off button works, but you have to stay on top of me! My foster momma said that I didn't get the rearing that I needed those first 8 months at all! I don't understand all that, but I do know my foster momma has worked with me a whole lot. I've gotten better. I need a patient family who is willing to continue to work with me. I would like some older kids and a younger dog that can keep up with me and not get mad at me and hurt me. I don't know anything about all that fighting. If you have a meany don't look at me! I want to play! Move on, sweetheart! Much love to you. If you want more info on me let MVPC know and my foster momma will be happy to provide it to you. ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/9/23 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, but can be solo CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/INQUIRY/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! Meet Thunder **COURTESY LISTING** **THUNDER IS A COURTESY POST AND IS NOT A FOSTER WITHIN MVPC. ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS OR COMMUNICATION NEEDS TO BE SENT VIA THE EMAIL CONTACT BELOW.** Do not send an inquiry through Petfinder, neither the private foster nor Miami Valley Pit Crew will respond. Thunder is a 8-month-old male boxer, bully mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and current with all recommended veterinary care. Thunder has started training and is currently living in a foster home where he attends an interactive dog day care and sleeps quietly through the night in a crate at the foot of his foster Mom’s bed. He really likes to go for rides in his foster mom’s van and enjoys exploring PetSmart, Bass Pro, and local parks. Thunder prefers the company of larger dogs and older kiddo's - smaller dogs and cats just aren't his thing.
