Story
Meet Moose! He’s a 1-year-old, 37 lb boy full of energy and love, and he’s ready to find his forever home. Moose hops into the car eagerly and easily, happily looking out the window during every ride. He’s likely house trained, making him a great addition to any home. Moose is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and is always excited to greet everyone he meets with a wagging tail. Moose loves water and will pull you toward any creek or body of water so he can jump right in and splash around. He’s a fetch enthusiast and will happily bring the ball back to you for another throw. While he enjoys all toys, he especially loves the squishy ball. Moose is also very gentle when it comes to taking treats, accepting them easily and with care. This sweet boy can’t get enough affection! Moose not only allows pets, rubs, and scritches but will keep coming back for more. He’s unbothered by loud noises, traffic, or barking—nothing phases him. When walking on a leash, Moose pulls like a locomotive—he’s got a mission to GO, GO, GO! While he doesn’t zig-zag, he’s full of energy and enthusiasm. Moose is also very smart. He quickly figures things out, like going up and down a two-sided doggy ramp with ease. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion who is ready to explore the world with you, Moose could be the perfect match. Come meet this lovable boy and see how much joy he can bring into your life! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Story
**Meet Monkey Bread – The Sweet and Shy Companion** Monkey Bread is a timid and gentle pup who may take some time to adjust to new environments, but once he feels safe and trusts his human, he blossoms into a loving and loyal companion. While he’s naturally nervous at first, a little patience and some tasty treats help him become braver and more confident in his surroundings. On walks, Monkey Bread is a joy to take along. He walks beautifully on a leash, only pulling mildly when he gets excited. When he spots other dogs from a distance, he’s more curious than reactive, offering a slight tail wag before easily returning to his own exploration. He enjoys taking his time on walks, sniffing and discovering, making him the perfect companion for those who enjoy a leisurely stroll. After his first walk, Monkey Bread quickly warms up and transforms into a snuggle bug once he’s in a familiar space. He thrives on the bond he forms with his human and, when he feels comfortable, he’s all about cozying up for some quality cuddle time. Although he’s a bit scared of the car, he allows you to gently pick him up and settle him in, showing his trust in you. Monkey Bread is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to grow and build confidence. With time, love, and reassurance, he will become the most affectionate and loyal companion, ready to offer all the love and cuddles he has to give. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
