Meet Athena! 🤍🐾 Athena is a stunning 2-year-old Dogo Argentino with a bright personality and adventurous spirit! Athena was adopted from our shelter but shortly returned back to us due to not getting along with other dog in the household, for this reason we recommend Athena go to a home with no other pets. Athena has mild swelling of her right front leg. Radiographs show a mid-ulnar fracture with callus formation that appears to be at least two weeks old and is not affecting her mobility. We recommend following up with your primary care veterinarian and avoiding rough play while the bone continues to heal. Staff have found Athena to be friendly, approachable, and easy to handle. She enjoys meeting new people and exploring her surroundings, and would thrive in a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle. She is very treat-motivated (watch your fingers! 😉) and already knows how to sit and shake when snacks are involved, making her a great candidate for continued training. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate companion, Athena might be the perfect match for you! 💕
