His birthday is around June of 2020, a pandemic puppy! He came to rescue over two years ago with his deaf sister, Amara.. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Angus knows " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, he reads from his foster mom's body language. Angus loves to play outside with his sister and smell all the smells. He loves to have toys so much that he'lloften race inside so he can gather up all the toys (especially from his sister's kennel before we notices) and hoard them in his kennel. He has a wonderful relationship with Amara, his sister. It would be nice if they were adopted them together but it's not required. We ask that he be the only other animal in the home, except for his sister, just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". Angus does not have a mean bone in his body but he's a bit of a bull in a China shop kind of boy! He just likes to run fast and slide through his turns! A fenced in yard is required so Angus can be free to explore and smell all the smells. This boy will steal your heart the minute you meet him. He's always happy and greets you with a smile on his face. ##1971033##

Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: unknown Good With Kids: unknown Kennel Trained: Yes Age: Approx. 3-1/2 Years Adoption Fee: $ 450 Fee Includes: Current vaccinations, microchip If you want to be considered for adoption, fill out an application at emotionalrescuedogs.org Amara has been in Rescue for two and a half YEARS, looking for her special family! Be still my heart, Amara is a big, sweet, loving, Deaf Dogo Argentino. She's a Pandemic Puppy with a birthday around June, 2020. She came to rescue over two and a half years ago with her deaf brother after they were dumped by their owner. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Amara knows sign language for " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, she reads from her foster mom's body language. She is happy to please and leans in for love! Amara loves to go for car rides, play outside with her brother and smell all the smells. She likes to have toys too. So many toys! She has a wonderful relationship with Angus, her brother. We would love to see them adopted together but that isn't mandatory. We recommend that she be the only other animal in the home (except for her brother), just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". This big girl is a cuddler. When she's all snuggled in, she has the sweetest snore. Once she is adopted and settles in, you'll wonder how you ever survived without her. She's the missing piece of the puzzle your life needs. A fenced in yard is required so Amara can be free to explore and smell all the smells and explore to her heart's content without needing to keep you in sight so she can "hear" you. So, you think by being named after the INFAMOUS Rhaegar Targaryon I would lead a SUPER EXCITING life, right?? Fighting for my kingdom all the time, secret affairs and annulments, right??? Well I am BORING compared to my namesake :) And that is ok, I am just a BIG puppy trying to make my way in a BIGGER world! Now, I AM a Dogo Argentino and you don't run across our breed very often in the rescue world but the rescuers know that as a big puppy I need strong family leaders- to keep me out of trouble :) And I need to go to a family who will not SECRETLY annul our adoption and not give up on my big puppy ways. You have to know that I am very loving and play like a big galoof with my brother and foster siblings. I will thrive in a home where I can get lots of attention as well as you teach me how to be the bestest Dogo you have ever met!! Exercise my brain and I won't get bored :D AdOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Montana is a handsome 1-year-old 55lb Dogo Argentino looking for his forever home! This energetic pup is short-coated and white. He is fully house and crate trained and would do best either as an only dog or, an adopter who is committed to doing slow introductions over the course of a few weeks. HIs excitement gets the best of him! At this time, Montana is not suited for young children under 14 due to his energy levels.Montana's foster family describes him as incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a penchant for exploring outdoors and chewing on bones. However, he thrives best in calmer environments and benefits from structured routines and regular exercise, needing at least an hour of activity each day. While he's adjusting to indoor living, Montana is still learning to manage his energy levels and would do best with someone experienced in bully breeds who can continue his training. He's neutered and in good health, with no known medical needs.Montana is a great working companion, and would thrive with a family that enjoys working with working breeds and power breeds. If you're ready to welcome Montana into your home and help him become the best version of himself, please reach out to learn more about this loving pup.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Big Mike! Nice to meet you! Kie, who goes by Big Mike or simply Michael, in his foster home, is a dog full of personality! He is a fun guy! Some signature moves of the Big Mike include big hugs and handshakes. He loves to greet his people with a hug and that paw is always there to shake or to gently remind others he's there (we are told he's part Boxer and this tracks given his go to move of the paw swipe). He also has a really funny habit of watching TV. He is often caught staring at, cocking his head, and even jumping up and down to whatever is on TV - especially if there are other animals in the show. It is incredibly comical. Big Mike is a very active boy who wants to get out and explore! He loves walks or even better, hiking or running. He has gone on long hikes and lives with a runner and can easily keep up for many miles. He does best when he is in a home where he can get out daily for a good walk or run in addition to other forms of mental and physical enrichment. Although, it is worth noting his top priority when out is hunting those pesky squirrels and small critters. He is a dog on a mission when it comes to keeping the neighborhood free of squirrels! Michael also loves splashing around in a baby pool and dipping his toes in the lake. We are yet to see him get the courage to swim, but I bet he could learn! At the end of a good day, Michael just wants to be with his people, snuggled up while they read a book or catch up on the daily gossip scrolling through their phone. He is a dog who really seeks out being close to his people so ideally, his home would enjoy a dog who likes to snuggle.  Big Mike is about 65-70 pounds and is tall and lean. He is an athletic boy who easily clears a fence when he wants. He respects the 4 foot wooden fence in his home, but we do not think he would do well in a 4 foot chain link. He is fully house and crate trained and has done well with other dogs. He does live with a cat and has stayed with cats, but does not have good cat etiquette and will wrestle and chase them. Michael lives with kids (4 and 7) and does not have any fear of kids. However, he is still a big puppy and will feed off the energy of the 7 year old boy and sometimes choose to play with him by biting at his clothing - not out of malice - but he will need more training and time before he should be placed with small children. He is assumed to be a Boxer/German Shepherd mix with a birthdate of December 2022. All in all, Big Mike is a really cool and fun dog who is sure to make the right person very happy! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination.
