Story
Great dog, very very smart. Very high energy. Can be aggressive by protecting trait. We have raised from puppy age. He is a very loving and responsive to positive reinforcement in training. He doesn’t do well with dogs out of his pack or in his territory that he isn’t or hasn’t become familiar with through slow introductions. He is intense with energy, but can be very affectionate and craves attention. He can be confrontational and has bitten a neighbor in the hand through an unsolicited reaching to pet from my neighbor. The best dog for a farm or someone that’s looking to be at a distance from regular people and animal traffic. Awesome work dog.

Story
Kodak is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Kodak (Koko for short) is quick to steal your heart with his puppy eyes. He is a dog who loves the company of people for an overdose of pets and belly rubs, and will seemingly begin to melt into your hands when you're giving them to him. When it's time for some activity, Kodak loves a good walk. He especially loves to keep his nose to the ground to explore, and would love either a backyard or someone who will take him on long walks to take in all the smells. He seems completely potty trained as far as his foster can tell, and has not had any accidents in the house or his crate. Kodak is an easy going guy, he is happy to hang around by himself but will get up to show you how excited he is to see you! He loves a good sniffari adventure and will wait politely by the door until you are ready to leave! On days when you can't be giving him attention, Kodak has done well in his crate and loves a good nap on a soft bed. Kodak can get a little nervous around other dogs, and needs a slow introduction when meeting them. However, he is doing well with the resident dog at his foster home now that they've become accustomed to each other, and they even play the occasional game of tug-of-war with some toys. He's great with meeting new humans too, but we are working on him not jumping since he's just so excited to meet new people, and he also can pull on his leash when he's excited about his walk. Koko would add a ton of love and happiness to any family looking for a furry friend, so reach out to meet Koko today! From Kodak's current fulltime foster: Kodak is a sweetie pie angel baby puppy dog. All he wants in the whole world is a warm couch to curl up on, and a friend to scratch his ears and tummy. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house, sleeps at LEAST 9 hours a night, and doesn’t show any territorial behavior with food or toys. He’s a really easy dog who can go pretty long stretches between potty breaks, and is just excited to see you whenever you stop by. We have loved listening to his little snores and watching his funny facial expressions. If you can lend KodyKat your couch... he’ll be sure to keep it warm and help you create many “Kodak Moments. ATTRIBUTES: Kodak has done well in foster with other dogs but requires a slow introduction with dogs. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
Tori had a rough start to life. She was found as a puppy severely malnourished . The puppies were eating their dead mother. The house was a drug house where police discovered the dogs. Thank goodness for this amazing rescue. She’s spent time with a foster. Tori is very fearful of people. She has a few issues. Tori is currently in board & train. All training begins with bonding. Staff and trainer. Unfortunately she’s on Prozac for anxiety. But we’ve done this dozens of times. Good diet, enrichment, supplements, building confidence, structure and teaching her to trust. Like so many dogs we will carefully ween her from anxiety meds and help her be calm on her own In any environment. Tori is doing great and will be available for adoption early March 2025

Story
Mocha is a year and eight months old. She was born on 3/3/2023. We acquired her from someone who had her parents and was looking to rehome some of the puppies before taking them to a shelter. Unfortunately, soon after adopting her, my mother fell ill with cancer and I became pregnant. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked working on training her, however during the few months prior to my pregnancy, we did manage to teach her quite a bit. She's a bit reactive towards other dogs, so I'd prefer she go to a home with an experienced owner who can handle strong dogs. She gets along great with other dogs her size that like to play rough. Ideally I think she'd do great in a home with a big yard where she can get lots of exercise.

Sweet pup trying to find her forever home. 3 year old Doga Argentino. All heart. House trained. Female. Fixed. All shots up-to-date. High energy. She likes long walks and loves to run! She is very loyal and loving, but as a Dogo she can be stubborn at times. Hoping to find a home that can keep up with her spirit and understands the breed. She is deaf but communicates her needs just fine. Her current family is unable to give her all the love and care she deserves and are hoping to find the perfect fit.
