Story
Meet Scuttle, the 1 year Neutered MaleMeet Scuttle, a one-year-old neutered male with a heart of gold and a determination that will amaze you! While Scuttle has special needs due to a deformity in both of his front legs and shoulders, he doesn`t let that slow him down. He scoots around on his elbows like a pro, getting where he needs to go with surprising speed. He loves to follow his humans everywhere, though he occasionally needs a quick break to catch his breath after his energetic scuttle. When he`s not moving, Scuttle is a true couch potato, relishing the chance to cuddle up and relax.Scuttle`s unique way of moving has given him a strong core and back legs, allowing him to jump up onto the couch and tackle stairs with ease. He may need a little help going down, but he is always eager to try! He`s learned to enjoy short walks in a supported standing position and is still adjusting to a donated wheelchair that makes moving easier for him. He also benefits from joint supplements to keep him comfortable as he grows. Though his elbows can develop pressure sores, he`s usually kept comfortable with elbow pads, and his playful spirit remains unchanged. When it comes to playtime, Scuttle is picky. He’s not into typical dog toys but has a soft spot for feathered cat toys and wiggly wand toys. He also loves treats like peanut butter-filled Kongs and pupperoni sticks. Scuttle is a fast eater—so much so that a slow feeder is a must for him! Despite his playful nature, Scuttle is gentle and never aggressive. He may use his mouth to guide your hand or engage in a playful `boxing` session, but he`s always gentle with his nibbles. He’s a lover at heart and enjoys cuddling with his feline friends, especially his best buddy, Pebbles the cat. He’s even been known to help herd turkeys back to their coop! While Scuttle is house-trained, he benefits from a consistent routine and could use more work with potty habits due to some possible separation anxiety. A large doggy door or frequent outdoor access might be ideal for him. He`s great on car rides, settling down after a short anxious start, and he’s proven himself a calm companion for long trips. Though we haven’t worked with him on a leash, Scuttle tends to stay close by and would likely do well with a loose lead. Scuttle is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to thrive and show off his wonderful personality!

Story
Ben is STILL looking for his FOREVER HOME We rescued this sweetheart 10 months ago from Hillsborough Pet Resource Center (Was Gonzalo) on a medical plea. He was very underweight and experiencing extreme kennel stress. Ben is our longest resident as he has had to work on some seperation anxiety, but is doing better, so we are putting him up for adoption again!! He is in a loving foster home in Homosassa, Florida. Ben is a 3 year old Boxer mix and weighs 50 lbs. He is fixed, microchipped and up to date with shots. He is heartworm negative. He is potty trained and dog friendly. He is very sweet and loving and is a Velcro dog and just wants a person of his own. He does not love to be crated so we would like to find him a home where he doesn’t have to be. We are also hoping to find him a home where the person is home most of the time. Ben is the sweetest, most affectionate boy and can’t wait to find his person. If you are interested in meeting sweet Ben, please go to our website at rescuedogsdream.com and complete an application. Background, reference and vet checks will be completed prior to meeting.
