Story
We adopted this sweet boy about a year ago, and he’s been a wonderful companion. He’s a mixed breed, likely with some Husky and German Shepherd, and has a big personality to match. He’s friendly, playful, and very loyal. Plus, he loves car rides! In a new home, I’m looking for an experienced owner who can provide him with plenty of love, attention, and patience, especially around food and toys due to some old habits. He would do best as the only dog in the household and would benefit from a bit of training to help him adjust. He’s also more comfortable with a slow introduction to men, so a patient, understanding approach is ideal. As a bonus, he comes with free training from our trainer to help him settle into his new home and work on any skills he needs. For this you will need to work with the trainer for days/times and location. Adjectives I’d use to describe him: affectionate, energetic, playful, and smart.

Story
Our dog has been with us since she was 8 weeks old. She'll be 2 years old in April. She is potty trained. With our busy schedule, we just don't have time with her. Also with our living situation, we just can't have her. Makes me sad that she is caged up all day long. With just our family she is fine, but around new people she will bark aggressively. We have her trained through Off Leash K-9 training LLC. down in Milwaukee, WI for 2 weeks. If she ever misbehaves you can contact them. They will help put her back in place. It is a lifetime help. We hope to find a family that is willing to help us love her and be the best family for her. Who has time for her and just enjoy her. It breaks my heart that I'm rehoming her. But our living situation is very tough right now. Our dog loves a lot of hugs and pats. She enjoys a lot of walks. All I'm asking is a good home for her. She is very hyper too.

Story
Bruno came into ACHS as a stray on 4/21/23 after his owner abandoned him at a friend`s home. This gorgeous fella is very sweet and calm with people. When the staff goes in to spend time with Bruno he immediately sits in their lap! He loves kids, but needs to be in a home without small children because he is super strong and might accidentally knock them over. Unfortunately, Bruno has shown aggression to other dogs at the shelter. This could change outside of this environment and with dedicated training! However, we will only allow him to be adopted into a home with no dogs or cats. A fully fenced yard is also recommended. If you are looking for a wonderful companion and have room in your heart and home for Bruno please give us a call at (608) 339-6700.
