Story

Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. THIS GUY! Wow! He has come a LONG away since he's been in our care. He was scheduled for euthanasia simply because they were out of room. He and his brother Happy. So a Good Samaritan pulled them both and spared them from certain death. They have been amazing, becoming very social because they have been attending doggy daycare everyday and receiving hands in one on one professional training! Captain is approx 7-8 months old. He's shy at first around new things but warms up quickly. He is kennel trained and house trained and it goes without saying he's dog friendly since he attends doggy daycare! He's super easy to get along with just needs a patient family because he is a bit shy at first around new things. He's with Kip and Michele in their home in Memphis, Tn. Once an application has been submitted and approved Kip, who has been working with Captain one on one for several months, will speak to you and tell you all about him. Everyone meet Jax! This super sweet shy guy is one amazing pup with a huge heart. Jax is going to need someone very patient with him. He needs time to adjust. That’s all he needs is time and patience. He’s timid initially, but once warmed up, he steals the show and your heart at the same time. He would probably do better with someone with another dog. Jax is great with other dogs and puppies and they help him feel more comfortable which allows him to come out of his shell quicker. He loves walks and car rides!!! Jax has fostered with two of our fosters here in Memphis and they would both be happy to give you a little more information about him. We can’t wait to find him a wonderful home of his own so he can settle in and adjust for good. Once adopted, Jax will travel via RescueVet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. Can we just stop for a second and talk about the undeniable cuteness of this little girl!!!!!! She's approx 4 months old and full or personality. She's in a foster home in Memphis Tn with Michele and many other dogs and lots of comings and goings so she's very well socialized and confident . She is kennel trained and enjoys the company of her siblings, learning to house train with the help of pee pads and she's also learning all about the doggy door. Wonderful with children, a very gentle and puppy like personality! We use a transport company called Rescue Vet Transport to get our pets from Memphis to the northeast! They travel each and every weekend delivering our adopted pets to the northeast . Transport fee is an additional $185. It goes without saying that this boy is stunningly beautiful ! But he's just as amazing on the inside as he is on the outside. Tucker is calm, gentle, loves affection, sweet, kind. Amazing it all humans and children. He's perfect with other dogs and would also do fine as an only puppy as long has he has children to play with. He's very easy going and laid back. He's kennel trained and house trained and currently with Michelle in her home as a foster in Memphis , Tn. We have two transport companies that run to the northeast every weekend. Leaving Memphis on Fridays and making stops along the way up as far north as West Greenwich RI. Transport is an additional $185.00. This guy has been lucky enough to land the sweetest foster family who just so happens to double as a doggy daycare and training facility ! The best of both worlds! He's well socialized! Smart and has benefited from daily training! He attends doggy daycare daily . He has been exposed to many different dogs and has been wonderful! He's great with humans . House trained and kennel trained . Walks very nicely on lead . He would make a wonderful addition to any family. Would love daily walks or hikes . Currently, Captain is in a foster home in Memphis, Tennessee. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Once adopted, the Sky will travel with the transport company to the north east. Transport is an additional $185.
