She is a laid back pup who wants nothing more than to snuggle up on your couch and chill. She's happy to share her space and just wants a safe place with some love. To date, that's been too much to ask for this deserving soul, but we are hopeful that we can change her luck. Can you be her savior?? Izzy is a ~7yr old pit bull mix female dog. Have you always wanted a movie star dog?! Gemma's your gal. She's absolutely stunning with her ice blue eyes, but also has the most beautiful personality ever! She's extremely playful and sweet, without a mean bone in her body. She has a little bit of "stranger danger" (barks at random people) on walks but is learning that not everyone will hurt her. She's very submissive and loves to play with toys. She is working on pottytraining but you should expect her to have accidents still as she learns a new home and routine. Gemma would do best in a home with another large dog to play with - she can play a little rough for tiny dogs/tiny kids. Gemma is location in Houston, TX. This is left to the discretion of the MAPS after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's web site, will be granted an adoption. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love !
