Story
Do you want to make a difference??? Want to help save em...one wag at a time??? For the entire month of January we want to pre approve fosters and fosters to adopt. We plan to get applications approved so we can have fosters waiting for dogs we save then we plan to pull a bunch in feburary. To do this we need people who can be patient and wait for their foster to apply!    What is expected from a foster u ask? to Pick up your foster which would either be near mauston or the dells.  to bring your foster to vet appointments that we make. (We try to have it so they dont need any further vetting before coming up but sometimes they do)  be willing to do meet and greetings with potential adopters (after we approve them)  we pay for all of their vetting While some of our fosters will take care of their food, We will provide food if needed pictures! We love updated pictures and posts! It helps to let people know about their personalities and find them forever homes other then that we just want you to show them love!   we are always available for questions and to be a support system to our fosters   we are starting to offer a foster starter pack that you get when they get their first pup. We havent finalized what will be in this yet, but we are thinking bowls, leash and collar, toys, treats, a kennel (kennel will need to be returned if you decide to no longer foster)   While we understand that some people can only do small dogs, or that there may be breed restrictions. we do try to accommodate that. we really need fosters who are open to alot of breeds. We can not save them with out the help.of our amazing fosters.  ##804612##

This is to get approved for adoption. You must understand that most of our dogs come from out of state. If you can be patient and wait for one, we can find you one. If you're applying with 10 other rescues please do not apply. Were an all volunteer rescue and it takes time and team work to approve applications and find dogs needing rescue and coordinate everything to get them safe and here This application is for a pre-approval for a breed we don't have listed or for a mixed breed or if you're not picky. will get your pre-approved and then send you pics of dogs we can get. In the notes section please be very specific on what you're looking for, male vs female, puppy vs adult etc.    ##945328##

Story
Flash is currently in a foster home and doing super well! He seems to be house and kennel-trained. His favorite thing to do is sleep on the couch and hang out with the family. Flash was in a foster home, and did well with children for the first part, unfortunately he did develop some resource guarding so we believe children over the age of 12 yo would be best for Flash.Flash is a good lookin hound dog! He came to us as a stray so background is unknown. Flash is a sweet boy who loves attention, and loves to sing hound dog songs. He has a bounce to him, and he loves to chase toys. He is such a lil love! He has not been cat tested, but with the hound breed slow greets will be very important.Flash does well with other dogs he has met at the shelter. He likes to try sharing his toys with them!“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).”

Story
Cole came from a breeder and has spent his life living in a concrete run/kennel. He has never been inside a home, on grass, or worn a collar/leash. All of these things will be new to Cole, and he will need lots of patience and love. He is very timid and will need a good "decompression" time when first introduced to home living. Cole is 5 years old and is missing some teeth, so his tongue hangs out the side of his mouth giving him a silly look. This fine gentleman deserves a home that is going to give him the wonderful experiences, care, and love that he has been missing his whole life. Cole is currently in a foster home and doing super well! He is gaining some of his weight back and has a great appetite! Cole enjoys sleeping in bed with his foster mom and thinks cuddling is the greatest thing! “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Oliver is a lovely colored merle Australian Shepherd. Oliver's owner was having severe health issues and tried everything she could to find him a home on her own. Oliver is almost 4 years old, he is house and kennel-trained. He does not do well with cats and smaller dogs. Oliver does best in a home with a submissive female dog. When surrendered Olivers owner expressed that he does not like men/teenage boys. So far here at the shelter, Oliver has done well with our male dog walkers, he has shown dislike towards teenage boys however. Oliver will need a home with limited exposure to males. Oliver has had some training with the basics, but could use good refresher. He loves to play fetch, swim and go for runs. Being a herding breed Oliver will chase cars, bikes and likes to herd humans. Oliver is neutered and current on all vaccines.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
