Story
Meet Donny! Donny is a handsome black and white Pitbull mix that came into our care due to a neglect situation. Despite where he came from he is a very sweet boy that loves to be around people, go for walks, play, and snuggle! Donny currently weighs around 40 - 45 pounds and we are estimating him to be 3 - 4 years old. Donny did come in with another dog and he seems to enjoy her company, but honestly he seems to prefer people over other animals. He does seem to know some basic commands, but could still use some work on leash manners and controlling his excitement when meeting new people. Donny just has so much love to give to a family and we know he will make someone a great companion! Story
Meet Edgar! Edgar came into our care a few weeks ago as a stray through local police, and went unclaimed. Now that we have had him to the vet, and got him up to date on his vet work he is now ready for a new home! Edgar is around 55 - 60 pounds, and we are estimating him to be at least 8 years old. Despite his age and some arthritis in his hips and knees Edgar still has a lot of get up and go! We have also started him on some supplements and pain management for his arthritis which seems to be really helping him. If you can't find him sunning himself in his favorite napping spot you can find him being a typical Hound following his nose and sniffing around. Edgar does enjoy going on walks, but he prefers to choose the route and pace of the walk. For a Hound he isn't very vocal but if he decides he wants something like a treat or his dinner he will let you know with a few good barks! If you are a Hound lover and would be open to a senior, laid back dog then Edgar is the guy for you! Story
Meet Calvin! Calvin came to our shelter after being picked up by animal control in a neighboring town and going unclaimed. He is a sweet boy that we are estimating to be around 2 years old and he currently weighs around 45 pounds. While we do believe he could have some Hound in him there is definitely something else mixed in to give him his striking blue eyes and merle coat. Whatever his breed mix is he is definitely a handsome guy! Overall Calvin is very outgoing and seems to do well greeting everyone that stops to say hello to him. He could use some work on his leash manners and basic commands but that will all come in time once in a home with consistent training. Calvin would be the perfect fit for an active family that will take him on adventures to keep his nose and mind busy. Calvin's adoption fee is $200, and he is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. If you are interested in adopting Calvin please fill out an application online by going to this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RAB/Dog

Story
Meet Ruby! Ruby is an adorable medium sized mixed breed dog that was surrendered to our care due to needing medical attention. When Ruby came to use she had a damaged eye that we were hoping to save but unfortunately we were unable to save it so it was recently removed. Despite having an eye removed Ruby is the happiest dog and all she wants in this world is love. She enjoys being around all people, has done well with other dogs and cats, and we feel she would be good with kids. We were told Ruby is 2 - 3 years old, and she weighs approximately 30 pounds. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy this winter Ruby would be a great addition to any home! If interested in adopting Ruby please fill out an application online by going to this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RAB/Dog

Story
Meet Leon! Leon is a young mixed breed dog that came into our shelter after being found at a rest stop. Local police brought him in for a safe place to stay, and after no one came for him we started getting him ready for adoption. We are estimating Leon to be 1 - 3 years old, and approximately 40 pounds. He is a very sweet boy that loves to snuggle and be around people! We have introduced Leon to a couple dogs here at the shelter, and for the most part he has done well with all the other canines. We feel Leon would love to find a home that can take him for walks, spend time playing with him and work with him on some basic training. He has been keeping a clean kennel here at the shelter but accidents could still happen while adjusting to a new home.
