Story
Hey! My name is Scooby, and I am 2 years old! I came from a shelter in Upper Peninsula with my sister Rainy in search of a fresh start! We sadly came from a neglectful family and found ourselves homeless. We had been at that shelter for a little while, but unfortunately did not get a whole lot of interest, so it was decided that maybe we should be transferred here to hopefully find a forever home! But we again have found misfortune and neither of us have lucked out on finding a home to call our own yet. We are really trying to not let that get us down, but it is tough. We really do not like shelter life. The dogs overwhelm us, and we find ourselves getting increasingly frustrated the longer we are here, which is really unfortunate because we really are such great dogs! I'll be honest - I could use a person or family that are experienced dog people because I do have some work to do to be the best dog I can be! However, I am treat-motivated and eager-to-please, so I think we could have a lot of fun helping me get there! I have quite a bit of energy, and when I want to get somewhere while on a leash, I am determined to do so! Someone with the ability to handle a strong dog is a must! I do get mouthy and jumpy when I am overexcited (another thing I could use some work on), so a home with older kids would be best for me in my future home. I get along well with my sister, but I have a hard time being around other dogs, so if I weren't able to go home with Rainy, I would need to be a dog-free home. Rainy and I are not a bonded pair, but if you're willing to have twice the fun, we would love to find a forever home in the same place! Help me get out of the shelter life! I am ready for a home to call my own! Come visit me at the shelter! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 66.2 Age: 2yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Hello! My name is Winchester! I am a fun-loving, big, goofy boy that came to the shelter as a stray. I am now in need of a home that will give me the exercise, love, and attention I deserve! I am so sweet with everyone, but I am pretty jumpy and strong, so I would do best in a home that is willing to give me structure, training, and that can handle a big boy like me! I would be okay with kids too, but ideally, they would be older and are used to dogs jumping and possible knocking them over on accident. I do not seem to have an issue with other dogs, but I may be too much for some dogs out there, so a proper introduction to any new dogs I meet would be a necessity! I am so much fun to play with! My little trot when I am playing out in the yard is so entertaining and cute! I would love to have someone that will take me for walks and play with me to my heart's content! Think that could be you? Come meet me at the shelter! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Brindle Weight: 64.31 Age: 3yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Hi friends! My name is Nova! Are you looking for a fun, energetic, and smart dog to complete your home? I may be just your girl! I am bursting with excitement and energy - I sometimes don't know how to contain it all! It occasionally comes out in the form of jumping and mouthiness, but I am so smart and eager to learn! I just need someone willing to give me the training and structure I need to be the best dog I can be! I would thrive in an energetic home that can keep up with me and my antics and help me release all my built-up energy! Because of my need for training and learning my manners, I would do best in a home with older children that are used to being around dogs like me! Some dogs here do get me overstimulated and overwhelmed, so I may not be a good fit for all homes with another dog, but we can always meet first and see if we can be friends with a slow introduction! I have so much love to give, and I deserve someone who is willing to give me a chance to show it! Think that could be you? I'd love to meet you! Primary Color: Black Weight: 56 Age: 4yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Hey there! My name is Pork Chop! I am handsome boy that was surrendered to the shelter because I wasn't getting along with the other dog in my home and being overprotective. Because of this, I would need to be the only fur baby in my future home! I am fairly friendly with children, but I would prefer only older kids because of my protectiveness for my person. A home that doesn't have frequent visitors would also be preferred! I am so much fun though and will keep you endlessly entertained! I am very strong and high-energy, so I would need someone that is willing to give me the exercise that I need! If you are going to take me for walks, it would be best for me if I walked somewhere that doesn't have a lot of activity or other dogs around because I do get reactive and pull on the leash. While I do have a lot of energy, I do like to settle down and get belly rubs or take a nice roll in the grass! I would really benefit from some training classes to help me be the best dog I can be! Think that you would be willing and able to do that? Ask to meet me here at the shelter! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 54.63 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Hi friends! Piggy here! I am a sweet and fun little lady that was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter because my brother and I did not get along in the home. As sad as that is, I am ready to start fresh and find my new forever home! I love people - kids included! I do well with them and would be a great family dog! I would need to be your only fur-baby though since I tend to be reactive towards most dogs and tend to lunge after cats. I promise that I will be worth it though and give you all the love in return! I am a bug cuddle bug and just crave human attention! I also love to go on walks and play around in the grass! I am a very well-rounded girl! I do sometimes pull and react towards other dogs when I am on my walks, so please be patient with me and be willing to work with me on this! When there are no other dogs around, I walk like a dream! I would love to be your new best friend! Come meet me here at the shelter and see if we may be a perfect match! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 51.4 Age: 1yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Hey guys! My name is Merlin, and I am a young, energetic boy looking for my forever home after being surrendered to the shelter for being a little too hyperactive. I was adopted out but then returned unfortunately because all the commotion in my home stressed me out and I barked a lot. I am still young though, so I would do best in a home that can give me structure, training, exercise, and overall just be patient with me while I grow out of my puppy antics. I am also a hound mix, so barking is kind of a package deal with me. Maybe a quieter home out in the country would be best for me in the future? I have lived with other dogs in the past, but I would do best in a home that has a dog of similar size to me as I do not always know my own strength and play a little rough with the smaller doggos out there. I have also lived with cats in the past, but I did want to chase them frequently. I may be a bit too much for smaller kiddos as well since I am jumpy and mouthy sometimes, but I would be okay sharing a home with older kids that are able to handle me. I am a sweet boy - I just need to find that right fit! Do you think that's you? I'd love to meet you! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 64.6 Age: 1yrs 3mths 4wks
