Story
The only issue with this sweet girl is she doesn't like children: Four year old non-spayed female Chihuahua. Took over dog when owner moved. Does show signs of food aggression so feed at opposite ends of room. Wasn't told she didn't like children, have young grandchild. Uses potty pads for #1 &#2. Have her prior vet record from 2 yrs ago. Has not been to vet since. Is wonderful w/adults & loves to snuggle all the time. Need rehomed ASAP as I care for young grandchild.

Story
My name is Apollo, and I`m two and a half years old. My favorite things are chewing on my toys and playing tug-of-war. I have a really strong chomp, so I need chew toys that won`t break into little pieces when I bite down on them! In the morning, I love to burrow underneath the covers and cuddle with you, and in the evening, when I don`t want to be going for a walk or playing with my toys, I`ll crawl up into your arms so you can hold me. I know I`m not a little guy, but I`m not too big to hold, right? I`m very good at walks, but I need to be reminded sometimes not to pull on my leash. My foster parents say I`m really smart and that I`m really quick to learn new tricks, especially when food is involved. I know all kinds of tricks now, and I`m a very good listener. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I`m around other dogs, but I am muzzle trained. I like to spend a little time outside every day in the summer so that I can get my daily zoomies out. When I`m inside, I like to look out the window so I can let my foster parents know who`s out there. Lastly, I have a really expressive face and I`m good at using it to communicate my needs, whether it`s dinner time, play time, or I need to go outside. I hope to meet you soon! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Jazmin connects with people, she has great leash manners and often times when walking will take a look back to make sure her companion is still with her. Jazmin does really well with other dogs and seems to tolerate cats as well. She has been very gentle when meeting children and softly takes treats.Jazmin has spent some time at a foster home and is working on her potty training skills along with her confidence in new situations. During this time, her foster family learned that she has separation anxiety. When her favorite people leave her alone for longer periods of time she will have accidents and make a toy out of objects that are left out. Because of this, she will need to go to a home where someone in her new family can either stay home with her most of the day or work from home. Additionally someone who can bring her along on their adventures. Her perfect home would be somewhere that she can just be by your side.

Story
Ronald Weasley is looking for his very special family! Ron has been working with his staff best friends and a behaviorist for a few months now on some anxiety, reactivity to strangers, and sensitivity to handling. Now we believe he’s ready to go to a home where his future family will continue his behavior management while understanding his quirks and challenges. Ronald’s training has consisted of: - Muzzle training - Engage-disengage training - Body handling - Appropriate leash walking with a gentle leader - Positive introductions to new people and dogs Ron’s been learning with Pawsitive Directions. NAS will sponsor his first behavioral session after his adoption. This will help him to succeed in his new home. Additionally, several staff members who’ve been working closely with Ron would be willing to coach a potential adopter through some of Ron’s training to help ease his transition. Ronald LOVES stuffies and he plays very gently with his toys. He enjoys car rides, walks, and belly rubs or snuggles from his favorite people. He has enjoyed meeting and playing with other dogs but he tends to feed off their energy, for this reason we believe a calmer confident dog would be the best dog sibling for him. While in our care we’ve learned that when Ron is with his BFF, Clark, who loves meeting new people, Ron is less reactive to strangers and warms up to them much quicker. Here’s what Ronald needs to best succeed in his new home: - Fenced yard - Physical fence due to territorial behaviors - No young kids - Continuation of his daily Apoquel and Fluoxetine medications - Lots of stuffies! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Meet little Mirabelle! Weighing in at only 32 lbs, Mirabelle is always excited to play and enjoys going on walks or jogs with her favorite people! She gets the zoomies often and loves to show off her speed when chasing after toys or other dogs. Mira loves playing in water and is a master at `sit`. She`s lived with another dog in the past but she`s picky about other dogs and would need slow introductions to a future dog brother or sister before going home with you. Mira is still learning not to jump when she`s excited, but she has so many kisses to share with you and everyone she meets! Story
Come meet Margo! Margo is a gentle, affectionate girl who`s looking for her new forever family. She knows `sit` and `paw` really well and is very clever and attentive, especially when you have treats! She loves car rides and either lies down in the backseat or sticks her head out the window to watch where you`re going. Margo is a gentle player and loves going on walks where she can take her time sniffing and investigating her surroundings. Margo has lived with another dog in the past and seems to be dog selective. Margo doesn`t do well with cats but we believe she`d do well in a home with gentler/older children.
