Story
Chun-Li is and Extended Stay Friend. Her adoption fee is $125. Meet Chun-Li, the sweet old girl who’s the best of both worlds! She's the perfect mix of calm and playful! Chun-Li walks nicely on a leash, making her a pleasant partner for leisurely strolls. While she may not be interested in toys, she never says no to treats or some good butt scratches. Chun-Li treasures the affection of her people above all else and is happiest when she’s close to you. If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion who prefers quiet moments of togetherness over the hustle and bustle, Chun-Li is the perfect match for you! **Here are some words from her foster family!*** "She has been absolutely flourishing here and has turned into a fairly active pup! We have been working on her stamina with walks with her joints in mind and are now up to about 1.5-2 miles at a time. Her joints don’t seem to bug her at all, she no longer has trouble hopping on the couch. She demands walks every day (it’s quite funny) and has a blast. We have loved fostering her again, she is a true queen!" Chun-Li would do fine in a home with children of all ages. We are not sure of how she is around cats Chun-Li can be selective with her doggy friends so a dog-to-dog meet is required before going into a home with other dogs. Chun-Li recently went on a Doggy Day Out with one of our volunteers and did wonderfully. She did great in the car, enjoyed a pup-cup and did lots of exploring. She was described as sweet, gentle, kind, beautiful and inquisitive. Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: "Chun-Li is a super sweet, docile, gentle girl. She did great riding in the car and going to the parks and exploring. She is such a sweetheart. I hope she finds an amazing "furever" home very soon." Chun-Li is a 7.5 year old female Pit bull who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and currently weighing 66.5lbs. *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Apollo, a lovable and affectionate dog who thrives on attention and affection from his people. With his gentle kisses and eagerness to be near his family, Apollo is the ultimate cuddle buddy. He’s also an energetic and playful pup, full of typical puppy enthusiasm, always ready for a game or a fun adventure. Apollo is food motivated, which makes training a breeze. He takes treats gently from your hand and is already familiar with his name and the command "sit." He’s still working on mastering other basic commands, but his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner. Apollo also walks wonderfully on a leash, making strolls around the neighborhood an enjoyable experience for both him and his handler. Apollo may do well in home with another dog. Because he can be selective with his canine friends, we ask that a dog meet with any resident dog be done prior to adoption. We are unsure how Apollo will do with cat friends. While Apollo is a great companion, he’s still learning the ropes of playtime. He can sometimes get overstimulated, so we recommend a home with children 12+ who can engage with him in a calm and positive way. With the right guidance, Apollo will continue to grow into the perfect, well-behaved companion. He’s ready to find a loving family who will help him become the best dog he can be! *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Dani is a 7yr old Silver Labrador Retriever. I have had her since she was 2 yrs old. She is such a great, well mannered, cuddly, loving, sweet girl. She LOVES to be outdoors running around and getting daily exercise. She has been around horses, chickens, cats, pigs, goats, other dogs, and more. She does great with all these animals and will listen to you when called. The only thing I will say, she can be pretty dominant towards other female dogs. She is truly the most loyal lab. She listens great off leash, and will follow you anywhere. I have had lots of people say she is such a good girl and "my little shadow". Another thing to be aware of is she is not great with babies/toddlers bothering her. She has only had one incident in the house where she growled/warned our toddler to back off and leave her alone. Dani also loves to swim, play fetch, and go for walks. We're hoping to find her a home where she can live the rest of her years happy & getting plenty of outside air that she loves.

Story
Meet Calliope! Calliope is a 5 month old, spayed female Heeler mix. She is microchipped, on heartworm preventative and current on her vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Energetic, affectionate and out-going. Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: "My friends at the shelter describe me as a happy girl who cant wait to find her forever home and grow up by her people's side. They say I am an energetic, goofy girl with a heart full of love." Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 8 Housetraining Status: I could use some work on housetraining but I will catch on super fast with a good routine and patience. I would do well in a home with: Dogs (with proper introductions) and Kids (with parental guidance). Staff are unsure how I would do around cats. My favorite activities are: I love cuddling and playing with my favorite people and going everywhere with them. Things I need work on are: I could use a little help with my leash walking skills, sometimes the leash confuses me. My adoption fee is: $350 Training Requirement if applicable: Because I am a puppy and its very important my new family and I are set up for success, I am required to attend a puppy class at my new family's choice of training location. There is a $100 training deposit for this but once a course is complete, the training deposit will be refunded. *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Energetic, playful and smart Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends at the shelter say I am a smart guy (because of how food motivated I am, I love learning new things and I catch on super fast). Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 9 Housetraining Status: I could use some work with house training but with some time to adjust to a new routine and patience I should catch on pretty fast I would do well in a home with: I would do well in a home with older kids (ages 5 and up), my friends at the shelter are unsure how I could do in a home with cats but I can seem unsure sometimes around other dogs. Because of this, my friends ask that a dog meet with any resident dogs must be done prior to adoption. My favorite activities are: I love playing with my toys and being with my people... OH! and especially eating my favorite snacks Things I need work on are: I could use work on my leash walking skills as I get over excited and pull sometimes. I could also use a little more work on my basic manners, I do know sit, shake and down but I would love to continue to learn Any special needs: N/A Doggy Day Out Notes: On my doggy day out I was described as being excitable, friendly, calm, curious and they also talked about how much I like playing fetch. They also said "Klaus loved his doggy day out! He is a very excitable boy who is curious on walks and loves to be out and alert. He does great on car rides, real calm, submissive and quiet. He could use some work on his jumpiness and taking items that don't belong to him but with some simple redirection he will learn in no time! Klaus is a sweet, friendly boy who was a joy to have out." Daycare Status: I did pretty well at Raise the Woof Daycare! Ask staff to see my report card!
