Story
Chun-Li is and Extended Stay Friend. Her adoption fee is $125. Meet Chun-Li, the sweet old girl who’s the best of both worlds! She's the perfect mix of calm and playful! Chun-Li walks nicely on a leash, making her a pleasant partner for leisurely strolls. While she may not be interested in toys, she never says no to treats or some good butt scratches. Chun-Li treasures the affection of her people above all else and is happiest when she’s close to you. If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion who prefers quiet moments of togetherness over the hustle and bustle, Chun-Li is the perfect match for you! **Here are some words from her foster family!*** "She has been absolutely flourishing here and has turned into a fairly active pup! We have been working on her stamina with walks with her joints in mind and are now up to about 1.5-2 miles at a time. Her joints don’t seem to bug her at all, she no longer has trouble hopping on the couch. She demands walks every day (it’s quite funny) and has a blast. We have loved fostering her again, she is a true queen!" Chun-Li would do fine in a home with children of all ages. We are not sure of how she is around cats Chun-Li can be selective with her doggy friends so a dog-to-dog meet is required before going into a home with other dogs. Chun-Li recently went on a Doggy Day Out with one of our volunteers and did wonderfully. She did great in the car, enjoyed a pup-cup and did lots of exploring. She was described as sweet, gentle, kind, beautiful and inquisitive. Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: "Chun-Li is a super sweet, docile, gentle girl. She did great riding in the car and going to the parks and exploring. She is such a sweetheart. I hope she finds an amazing "furever" home very soon." Chun-Li is a 7.5 year old female Pit bull who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and currently weighing 66.5lbs. *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Casio, the small guy with a heart as big as a pot of gold! This little guy can be shy at first, but don't be fooled, he is all about spreading love—he adores giving kisses and soaking up as much affection as he can get. With no signs of aggression, Casio is a shy gentle soul who just wants to be your best friend. Casio may not have had much training yet, but he's incredibly food motivated, which makes him a quick learner! While leash walking was a bit of a challenge at first, Casio has shown impressive improvement and he’s walking just fine on the leash now days. Casio may have special needs when it comes to controlling his bowel movements, and in his previous home, he wore diapers to help manage this. But what he truly needs is someone who will love and support him just the way he is. Here at CHRS we label Casio as an " exceptional owner wanted" friend and because of this his adoption fee has been reduced in half. Casio is full of affection, and he's looking for an understanding adopter who can embrace his unique needs with patience and kindness. If you're ready to open your heart to a small dog with a big personality. Casio would do well in a home with children 12+ years old . We are not sure how Casio is around cat friends. Casio would also do great in a home with other dogs given proper introduction. Casio is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and currently weighing 43.5lbs. This goofy pup loves hard toys and bones, always ready to play and have a good time. Casio’s looking for a forever home that will continue to help him grow and learn, all while enjoying his affectionate and playful nature. If you’re ready for endless kisses and a loyal companion, Casio is your boy! *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet the one and only Shiva, a beautiful German Shepherd mix with a sensitive soul and a heart full of potential. Due to limited socialization in the past, Shiva can be a little shy at first, but with the right, patient, and understanding owner, she’s sure to thrive. She needs someone who will gently introduce her to new people, places, and experiences, helping her build confidence at her own pace. Shiva is naturally relaxed and chill, but she truly shines when she’s around other dogs. She does best with male dogs and more submissive females, and once she feels comfortable, her playful side emerges. Shiva should do well in a home with children of all ages. We are not sure how Shiva would do in a home with cat friends. Shiva will benefit most in a household with a male dog. Shiva is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and weighing 62 lbs. Shiva has recently gone on Doggy Day Outs with one of our wonderful volunteers. She was very nervous, but warmed up and did well. She has been described as sweet, friendly, nervous, curious and very smart. Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: "Shiva did pretty good being out. She is very nervous and not sure of the outdoors, not sure of what to think of it all. Shiva is very sweet and loves car rides." "Shiva did a lot better being out today. She spent time back at my house napping on our couch and found comfort with me being next to her. After that she was so much more comfortable with me, not so nervous or anxious. Shiva is such a sweet, loving pup and we definitely got to know more of each other today. She is a very brave little gal." "Shiva made huge progress being out! We spent time at my house on our deck and she was lying down soaking up the sun! We were at the house for two hours getting to know each other and letting Shiva feel comfortable. Then she was on a long line at a local park where she was much more relaxed and confident, tail not tucked between legs but out and relaxed. Did great leash walking by side, calm and confident with tail relaxed. Shiva is fun taking out and making huge progress in being calm, relaxed and confident." "Shiva is progressing very nicely on our Doggy Day Outs! She ate all of her breakfast at my house out on our deck. She was hungry! Shiva is gaining more confidence, being comfortable around me and humans and remaining calm and relaxed. She is a happy gal! I am very pleased with her progressing each time she is out. With me being her pack leader and remaining calm and confident around Shive, she is that way as well. Dogs pick up on human energy real quick. Love this gal and how far she has come." "Shiva has come so far in being calm, confident and trusting her human and people. So happy with her progress! And she is so much fun to have out! Shiva does great on walks and has improved so much leash walking at the side. She loves car rides and will just lie down or loves the windows rolled down a bit. Rides seem to be her safe place. I love this gal and know that she will do very well in her adoptive home." If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who just needs a little encouragement to come out of her shell, Shiva is your girl! *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Bailey, a loving and gentle soul who may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s a loyal and affectionate companion. At first, Bailey might come off as a bit shy or nervous around new people, but with a little patience and kindness, she’ll show you just how sweet and loving she can be. Bailey’s ideal day includes fun with kids and then relaxation. She curls up on the couch beside you and enjoys your company. She’s a fan of quiet moments and loves to sit back and unwind in the comfort of her home. And when she feels especially close to you, Bailey has a truly unique way of showing her affection—she’ll gently lay her head on your shoulder and give you a heartfelt hug. It’s one of the many ways she expresses her love and trust. In her previous home, Bailey did well with kids, including children as young as 5 and 6, previous owners state " She loves our boys she wants to run the house with them and she lets them lay on her and she loves them to just be with her". While she may take a bit to adjust, Bailey has a soft spot for the kids she’s grown comfortable with and enjoys their company. One thing to note is that Bailey doesn’t like fireworks, and the loud noises tend to make her anxious. Her new family will need to be understanding of this and provide a calm, secure environment when loud sounds are present. Bailey would thrive in a home where her adopters are willing to be patient and gentle, giving her time to come out of her nervous shell at her own pace. She’s a dog who appreciates kindness and will blossom with consistent love and understanding. With time, Bailey will become a deeply loyal companion, offering plenty of affection in return for your care and patience. We are not sure how Bailey is around cat friends. Bailey should also do great in a home with other dogs given a proper introduction. If you’re ready to provide a calm, loving space for Bailey to grow, she’s sure to become your best friend—offering cuddles, quiet companionship, and a heart full of love. *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
