Story
Meet PETIE: Part-Time Goofball, Full-Time Good Boy!“Hi, I’m Petie! I may only have two speeds—zoomies and snuggles—but I guarantee you’ll love both. I’m a medium-sized professional biscuit connoisseur with floppy ears, a wiggly butt, and a heart the size of a tennis ball (which, by the way, I will chase, but I make no promises about bringing it back). My special skills include:• Looking deeply into your soul while you eat snacks• Turning anything into a bed (even your laundry)• Faking being asleep when it’s bath time• Giving kisses with no warning and zero restraintI’m looking for a forever home with humans who love belly rubs, walkies, and occasionally having their personal space invaded by unconditional love. Adopt me, and I promise to be the best decision you make today. Unless you also decide to order tacos. Then we can share.Love,Petie (a.k.a. Sir Wigglesworth III)”Petie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive. If you are interested in meeting Petie or have any questions, please fill out an adoption application on our website or contact us at (920) 279-9795 or wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com!

Story
Arlo is a sweet and gentle boy waiting to be your new best friend. Once comfortable, he is a big affection hog, and will be asking for butt scratches and pets as long as you will give them! He warms up fairly quick with strangers and has a funny, bubbly personality. He is fun to play with, likes toys and walks, but would also enjoying just hanging out at home, doing what ever it is you`re doing. He is such a fun dog. Even though he is a senior, you would never guess it! He is young at heart. Arlo would love to meet you and be part of your family!-8 years old and weighs 80 pounds -He has done great with handling, baths, going on walks and meeting new people. -He has lived with multiple cats in a previous home-LOVES butt scratches and leaning into you-He has met with dogs at the shelter and did good, but he seems to be dog-selective. He would need a playmate that is on the calmer side.-Suggested for children age 10 and up -Very treat motivated and would love to learn tricks!-Shows signs of being housetrained -Neutered, vaccinated and microchippedPlease note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Story
Wally is a shy by sweet little boy. He is currently recovering from a broken leg, and will need to be a foster-to-adopt until he is medically cleared. He is timid/avoidant with strangers and will most likely require a few meets with interested parties to feel completely comfortable. Once he is comfortable, he is a big cuddlebug, he`s silly and likes to play with his toys. He is a velcro dog and will follow you around the house, always being very close at your feet. He would do best in a quiet, calm and patient home. We ask that fosters are within a 30 minute drive from the shelter for medical appointments!-8 months old and weighs 6 pounds -We are unable to test him with other dogs here at the shelter due to his injury-Suggested for children teen-age and up due to his nervousness -Can be sensitive to loud noises and fast movements but is silly and playful once comfortable-Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Story
Mabel is originally from MADACC (Milwaukee). She is very friendly, and can be a little shy at first. She is crate trained and has never had an accident in the crate. She was left alone in the bathroom and chewed on the baseboard so since then she has been in the crate completely and she has been fine with it. She loves running in the yard and will chase and bring back tennis balls. Not much interest in other toys. Listens fairly well. When sniffing around she prefers that than to listen. Overalla very good dog. Will be a great companion. Gets along with cats in the house. Has met a few dogs and liked them.
