You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process. Butchey is a 2 1/2 -year old, neutered male, weighing-in at around 35 pounds.  He's a good boy that likes to be active. He was lacking in confidence and social skills.  He has been in training for several months now and has done a great job !  He has learned to politely play with other dogs and make friends with many humans .  He walks well on a leash and does well out in public.   A dog savvy household will be best for him. Continued training would be a plus. He can be in a home with other dogs. However we believe Butchey would do best in a home with an older, mature, stable, female canine.  We want him to maintain his newly acquired skills. If allowed, he can become overly attached to his human.  Butchey's currently still in a boarding / training facility due to a lack of fosters in rescue.   He will require a physical fence.  This is not negotiable.  Please read Adoption Info on the left side of our website. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Lillian comes to us from southern WV.  Her previous guardian passed away.  Lillian's just ready for a relaxed, quiet, comfortable home, like she's ready for a retirement community!!!  We think she's around 6 years old, but could be younger or older...it's hard to tell.  She might be 5 and have lived a hard life thus far.  We're just not sure of her actual age. Lillian would do best in a home with another small breed canine sibling, as she loves to cuddle with other dogs. She does fine with other dogs, but we're not sure if she's cat friendly.  We recommend no small children, as she's an older gal who wants quiet and limited activities. She's fine with kids older than 10.  She's cautious around new people. She's not so much a runner, but could be difficult to catch if she got away.  Lillian is super sweet, loves to lick her human's hand, and is a very nice girl.  She's working on her house training skills, so be prepared to continue her path to being fully house trained.  She's not totally comfortable on a leash, so that will also be part of her continuing education!   She'll require a fully fenced, secure yard.  No electric fencing, no underground fencing, and no doggy door.  These are not negotiable topics. Email inquiries can be made to PawsCrossedDogRescue@yahoo.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Penny came to us from a breeder in southern West Virginia.  It has taken her a little time to get acclimated to living indoors. She is a very laid-back Yorkie And prefers to spend her days snuggled in a nice, comfy dog bed.   She absolutely has to have a fenced in yard and would prefer to have someone home during the day or with another dog. She has been working on her house, training skills and learning how to go in and out side to the back yard. Because she has lived most of her life outside. She enjoys being out in a fenced in area.penny has had multiple litters of puppies and she is now ready to relax and just be someone's pet.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

I’m Cersei, a regal dame of 8 years young, though I look as sprightly as a pup of 4! My coat boasts a stunning fawn hue, framing a majestic face that hints at my Mastiff heritage. Perhaps there’s a touch of extra Mastiff charm in me! My past is a mystery, having trotted through several foster homes before finding myself in my current cozy abode. I’m a lover through and through, and oh, how I adore to lean! A faithful companion, I’ll stand guard with a gentle woof when visitors approach. Following your lead, I’ll wait patiently, ready to shower any newcomer with affectionate slobbers. At a majestic 135 lbs. and towering at 32 inches, I’m quite the sight to behold! And oh, how I revel in a good back scratch, leaning against you in pure bliss. Recently, the vet took a peek at a pesky skin growth on my chest, assuring us it’s nothing to fret over. My foster family has promised to have it tended to before I find my forever home with you.

Story
Woof! I’m Timber, a big-hearted, 3-year-old Great Dane gal eagerly awaiting my forever family. My fawn coat frames a lovely face that hints at my Mastiff lineage, perhaps even a touch of English Mastiff from one of my Great Dane parents. My past is a bit of a mystery, having trotted through several foster homes before finding solace in my current foster family’s care. I’m a sweet soul, sometimes a tad shy, but always ready to shower you with love and loyalty. Protective by nature, I’ll raise a gentle bark to announce visitors, but aggression isn’t in my playbook. At 135 lbs. and 32 inches tall, you won’t need to stoop to pet me! Unfortunately, I recently had a minor hiccup with my leg, needing some extra TLC as it’s not too keen on carrying all my weight. Luckily, my leg is still functional, and the wonderful folks at MAGDRL are helping me through this phase. Bookmark my post and stay tuned for updates as I heal and regain strength. They’ll keep you in the loop on my progress.
