Story
He got Rigby as a puppy 9 years ago from Abracadoodles in Spokane. He was our fur baby for 4 years then one of the growing family of kids. He is spunky, loves cuddles and rough housing when we do. He is calm indoors and brings the energy when outdoors. With our growing family and responsibilities we feel we are not able to offer him what he deserves and what he has been used to. This is a tough decision, but one that we feel is best for us all. Rigby is difficult to manage at a place like a dog park or off leash (he gets so excited, recall can be challenging) , but does great on hikes and playing where dogs or other animals are not potential to run off.

Story
Chanel is a gorgeous, sweet dog that was given a rough start in life. She loves going for rides in trucks, playing in the yard, and most of all, snuggling on the couch. All she wants is affection and stability. She loves every person she meets, big or small. She has become the official greeter of our business! We would love to keep Chanel but unfortunately due to her previous home situation, she cannot be around other dogs or cats. We took her in during an emergency but have to prioritize the animals we already have. She deserves the best home in the world and I’m set on finding it for her.

Story
In March of this year, so many of you came together with generous donations to help support Tank’s leg surgery and rehabilitation after he was hit by a car. Donations made a huge impact into getting him into surgery and providing him weekly follow-up care at Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Bellingham. One of our valued staff members made the weekly trek to Bellingham and also was his foster as he recuperated from his injuries. Below is what she shares about Tank: “Tank is a sweet and playful young dog. He is very goofy, and loves to cuddle. He appears to be housebroken, but does have accidents when left alone for longer periods of time. He gets along well with other dogs as well as cats. He can be timid around new people, but as he is very food motivated so it is easy to win him over. He seems to be more nervous around men rather than women, but he has come around to some of the men in his foster home. Earlier this year, Tank was hit by a car, he then underwent surgery to repair his pelvis and left rear leg. He’s received several hours of physical therapy to help regain the use of his leg and the potential adopter will need to be committed to his remaining recovery. He is eager to run and play! At approximately 86 lbs, he is in need of a home with a fenced yard at least 6 ft, and owners that can be home most of the time to help with the remainder of his recovery. Tank is still currently in his foster home so, if you are interested in meeting with him, please give the shelter a call at (360) 678-8901 or send us an email for to learn more.”
