Note: when proof of dental is sent adoption fee will be returned to adopter. Super sweet (to people), timid at 1st, then will rule the house! Runt of 9 puppies born from a 10 chi mix. Used to potty pads so may pee on carpet and rugs. Fully vetted aside from desperately needs a dental. She may need to Eat soft food as most of her teeth are gone. She is super bossy and does very poorly with other dogs. Very intimidating to them despite her size.she wants her own home and own people. She may need an adjustment period, but once that settles she is a sweet fun cute little one. She is currently in the Seattle area.

THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because Lana is an international rescue through Taiwan. If you’re interested in adopting also can pick her up at international airport, please fill out an application on our website. Please email us if you have any question. Thank you very much. Apply at https://www.lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】 ----------------------- Lana was found wandering around a garbage dump site looking for food. Her rescuers saw her eating out of a plastic bag, thinking maybe Lana found some food inside. However, upon closer inspection, they saw that Lana was actually eating the plastic bag as food!!! Lana was very skinny and was starving at the time, and broke the rescuers’ hearts. They were able to take her that day. One the next day, the rescuers went back to look for her and to rescue her, they could not find her. The people who lived close by said that Lana was taken away by animal control. The rescuers went to the shelter and found Lana deathly afraid and could not stop shaking out of fear. Unfortunately, due to the policy that all animals taken into the shelters have to stay for 12 days, they had to wait for the period to be over to get her out. They knew it must be a very difficult 12-day for Lana as shelters are scary places! Because of the period of being in an overcrowded shelter, Lana needed time to warm up to strangers. Nonetheless, she still trusts people once she adjusts to the new environment, and would give all her love! She loves to go to dog parks and to play with other dogs. She will do well in a family with other dogs, which will help her adjust faster. One great thing is Lana is very food motivated! We believe with patience and understanding, she will be a perfect family member. She is house trained and uses pee pads inside. She also knows how to do her business outside. Would you be interested in making her part of your family? She is waiting for a forever home! Please contact us anytime if you want to know more about her personality and habits. If you’re interested in adopting Lana, please fill out an adoption application!

Story
THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because we are an international rescue through Taiwan. The dogs are likely still in Taiwan and you will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport. International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】 ------------------------------------ Flynn’s rescue story: Flynn was found on our feeding spot on a mountain all alone without any siblings or companion. After feeding him one or two times , it came out waiting for us to play with us once he heard the sound of our car engine . Every time we left, he chased after our car for a little distance. Thinking that he might be hurt among the traffic and also being reluctant to leave him alone in the dark mountain, we decided to take him in. After a thorough health check at a veterinary hospital, we later found him a foster family to get him ready for adoption. Flynn is now all set to find his forever home and gets all the love and care he deserves. Meet Flynn: Flynn is close to people, friendly to cats and dogs. Flynn might be an occasional enthusiastic chewer as his canine permanent teeth just started coming in, so make sure he has plenty of soft and flexible toys to chew on. He barks a little bit while walking whenever he sees something strange or not familiar with. Barking stops after he figures out what those things are. He enjoys goint to pet-friendly restaurants with his humans. He likes approaching other guests by himself and befriending them. Flynn might be a little skittish and nervous if kids or people approach him with big body movements. Otherwise, he’s a sweetie pie with boundless energy. Because Flynn used to be a stray dog when he was little, he might devour when he gets his meals. As you may know, stray dogs fight for food . However, he’s getting more disciplined now . Little Flynn is now looking for a loving home and for a chance to shower you with much love and joy! Please watch Flynn’s videos to learn more about him. If you are interested in this sweet goofball, feel free to contact us for more information or simply fill out the adoption form on our website.

THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because we are an international rescue through Taiwan. International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】 Apply here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ ------------------------------------ Didi was found wandering a tea farm in the mountain region of the famed Sun Moon Lake. He was about 1 year old then. He followed the strays that lived around a tea factory and tried to survive an unfamiliar surrounding (He was most likely brought there from another area to be dumped). The tea factory workers have been feeding these stray dogs. However, there were many illegal traps set up by local farmers and hunters. In 2020, Didi unfortunately fell victim to one of these traps. When he was found, his front left leg had already been badly infected. One of the people that had been feeding these dogs took Didi for treatment and the vet amputated his left front leg. After he recovered, he was brought back to the tea factory area. Sadly, Didi disappeared for over 1 week in late 2022. He was found to have his right front paw caught in a tray. Again the wound was so badly infected, the vet had no choice but to amputate Didi’s right front leg. The rescuer, who had been one of the kind people that fed Didi and the group of strays, was very worried when she learned about poor Didi’s second injury, and decided to take Didi with her. She has 2 other dogs at home and he got along really well with them. Because Didi is such a friendly and gentle soul, the rescuer wanted to help find Didi a forever home. Didi loves to jump into the push cart, and to be out and about. He loves sunbathing and be with nature. Didi loves people and is very gentle. He would not get mad or frustrated when encountered things he did not feel comfortable or likes. Sometimes he would avoid strangers (but not all strangers). If strangers who like dogs, he would allow them to pet him or approach him most of the time. He is very submissive. He is very friendly with children, and would sniff infants but would not do more than that. He gets along with children in his foster home. Didi likes to hangout with dogs his size. He would avoid dogs who are too dominant or too excitable. He tends to wag his tail when he meets a friendly dog after sniffing each other. He has yet to have an opportunity to interact with smaller size dogs. When Didi was homeless, he was attacked by cats multiple times and tends to be afraid of cats. He would observe from afar and not approach when meeting cats. Because he never really had a full belly being homeless, he always seems to be hungry. He eats super fast during meal time. However, since he is very submissive, he does not show food or resource guarding behaviors. If his food was taken by other dogs, he would go look for another bowl of food. Of course, we don’t let these things happen and would help them respect each other’s space, especially during feeding time. We made sure all dogs have their own food. Didi lost his two front legs but still enjoys his life. He never acted like the lost of limbs affected him or his enthusiasm for life. He has prosthetics to help him walk (the rescuer made those for him), however, he cannot wear them for too long as he would get uncomfortable or hurt his body. Without the walking aid, he adapted to walk with his two back legs. It is not a difficult thing to care for him, especially he is easy-going, friendly, and submissive. If you are interested in Didi, please do connect with us. We will be more than happy to share any details. Didi deserves a second chance in life! Would you be his forever family?

THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because we are an international rescue through Taiwan. The dogs are likely still in Taiwan and you will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport. International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、LAX/ONT、JFK、IAH、ORD、YVR、YYZ、AMS】 ------------------------------------ Yaka was abandoned in a mountainous region along with another sister and her mother when she was about 2 months old. The rescuer worked close by and found them, and took all three of them home to Taichung with her. Because the mama dog is too timid and scared of people, the rescuer decided to keep the mama dog with her. Yaka and her sister found their homes in Taiwan very soon afterwards. As they grew older, they also grew in size. Yaka weighted about 25 kg (55 lb) and was returned by her then owner because the owner thought Yaka was too big for her. These types of things happened a lot in Taiwan when people adopted puppies and either returned them or abandoned them when these dogs got bigger. The rescuer brought back Yaka and was surprised to see that, despite not seeing each other for over 1 year, Yaka remembered everything about living in the rescuer’s home, as she had never left. She was still very loving, friendly, and out-going. After a few months of observing and caring for Yaka, here are what the rescuer’s descriptions of Yaka: With people: Yaka is very friendly and gets along with everyone – adults and children. She likes to be around people. However, because Yaka is very outgoing and excitable, she might knock down children by accident due to her excitement while playing with them. With dogs: Yaka really enjoys playing with other dogs. She makes friends everywhere. When she first meets new dog friends, we recommend that you keep the leash on, because of her size and her excitable tendency, some dog owners (and more timid dogs) might think she plays a bit rough. With cats: We do not recommend her to be in a family with cats. She likes to chase them and play-bite them on a few occasions. Food allergy: She is allergic to seafood. She would react by losing hair and having red patchy rashes. Separation anxiety: None! She is fine home alone. She will bark a few times when seeing strangers in her home or outside of her home (alert barks only). She is not a barky dog. Bathroom habits: Yaka is used to doing her business outside, and even if it’s raining outside, she will have to pee or poop outside. She doesn’t like to use pee pads. On walks: She is energetic and excitable (she’s still in her late puppy stage). She’s interested in all things, especially smaller creatures such as squirrels or cats. She might want to chase them if they start running. When you walk her, please don’t forget this point about her, and make sure you have a solid leash and secure her properly. Yaka is waiting for a family that loves her for who she is. If you are interested in providing her that forever home, please reach out to us. We will be more than happy to share any details you wish to know about her.
