Story
This cream-colored boy is as handsome as they come, and he knows it! Arthur is the definition of a lovable, clingy, oversized marshmallow. If he could melt into your lap, he absolutely would… despite being roughly the size of a small horse. He just wants to be one with his person—is that really too much to ask? Arthur is mellow, sweet, and wonderfully clumsy, trotting around like a baby giraffe who hasn’t quite figured out where his legs end. He longs to please his people, be adored, and get all the belly rubs his big body can possibly soak in. And water? Oh, this boy LOVES water. He doesn’t just splash—he submerges his entire self like he’s auditioning to be a sea creature. A water-loving family would be his absolute paradise. HISTORY Arthur was found as a stray puppy with 2 littermates in Richland, WA. At the time that they were found, they were estimated to be roughly 4 months old. Since we don't know their true DOB, we have designated 3/27/25 as their DOB. Arthur is located in Kennewick, in Eastern Washington. We share information about our dogs in postings based in other cities to improve their chances of finding a great forever home. He is well worth a road trip, and we encourage you to come and meet him before you decide he should join your family! SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING Arthur is thriving in his foster home and is doing wonderful with the resident dogs (100lb Akita, and 20 lbs mixed breed). He enjoys playful canine friends and is growing more confident every day. He is also fostered with a toddler and has been pretty gentle with her—no jumping, no knocking over, just requests and appreciation for tiny human affection. Arthur is also fostered with a cat, but we do not believe him to be a candidate for a cat home at this time. While he does not mind the cat being in high spaces, he chases them as soon as they hop down to his level. Though his chase can be called off, we don't believe this to be his ideal environment. Arthur LOVES meeting new people and will gladly lean his entire body weight into anyone willing to pet him. He’s a velcro dog through and through. He would thrive in a home where someone works from home or is around often. Being close to his human is his love language. Arthur is around 8 months old, which means he is officially entering the doggy teenage stage—also known as the “I forgot everything I’ve ever learned but I’m still very cute” phase. Think of it as his goofy middle school era. He may test boundaries, get distracted by a leaf blowing across the yard, and have opinions about things he didn’t notice before. It’s all normal, temporary, and honestly pretty hilarious. With consistency, patience, and fun training sessions, he’ll grow right through it and come out the other side an amazing adult dog. HEALTH STATUS General info Arthur is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, sterilized, and dewormed. He appears to be in good health. Once full grown, he will likely be somewhere in the 50-70 lbs. range. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Arthur is $425. Story
Spazz is spazztastic! He earned his name early on based on him in general being a spazz. He's 26lbs, neutered, vaccinated, parasite free, is chipped. Spazz sticks close to his people and could possibly train up to walk with you off leash. He's very oriented to his person, is great with all people and most dogs. Today he met LD and did great. He's experienced many puppies and does well teaching them how to behave and shows boundaries appropriately. Playtime has been toys, chasing his brother pack members and on occasion he gets to rough house with a little bully that's 3x his weight. Spazz will cuddle and sleep touching you and up behind your shoulder and head but sometimes he's asleep on my body when I wake up. This little dynamo would excel at agility or other skill-based activities. He's very smart and easily learns new things. Spazz lives peacefully with 2 large dogs and a chihuahua and LD. He's crate trained and doesn't mind chewing a raw beef bone in a crate or sleeping for a couple hours. He LOVES running and playing with toys when Lucky gets fired up. He chases reflected light, shadows, lasers, crystal prisms. Watch out for sunshine reflecting off your cell phone lol. Spazz definitely will let you know if someone is outside your home. He's not had a lot of cat experience and had one cornered but didn't hurt the cat. He barked, circled and will try to get them under the shed. I believe he could learn to get along with cats with proper instruction and experiences. Mr. Spazz could become a companion or potential support pet with training because he's so tuned into people. Spazz is located in West Richland, Washington. He can't drive so you will need to make a trip here to meet him and he's very much worth it. His adoption fee is $400. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/owner-surrender/HAWA-A-71 is his application link. You can also email HearthfireART@gmail.com for a written application. Spazz is also available to foster or even time share if you travel often he's always got a place to go.

Story
Winnie is an adorable Chihuahua mix pup with a personality as bright as her future. She’s one of Mama Chai Tea’s three puppies who were found by the river and rescued by a Good Samaritan. Now safe, loved, and thriving, Winnie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to find a forever family of her own! This little sweetheart is outgoing, happy, and full of love. She’s incredibly cuddly without being an “in-your-face” kind of girl. Winnie gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs and currently lives in a home with six other pups. She’s kennel trained, housebroken, and can use a dog door like a pro (though she sometimes needs a reminder to head out when it’s cold!). She loves kids, rides nicely in the car, and brings a cheerful, happy-go-lucky vibe wherever she goes. As a young pup, Winnie is still learning her basics—she’s working on sit and getting the hang of leash walking—but she’s eager, smart, and very treat-motivated. Her easygoing nature makes her a joy to be around and an easy fit for many types of homes. Despite her small size, she’s quite independent and isn’t a big barker, though she’ll politely alert you to activity at the door or fence. If you’re looking for a loving, relaxed, and delightfully happy little pup to brighten your days, Winnie might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Sven! Born October 4, 2015 Sven is a male chi/terrier mix who is great with cats, kids and other dogs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Sven’s foster mom describes him as a loyal, happy and healthy dog who would be a great addition to any family. He sleeps in his foster mom's room but on his own bed. He is still working on his potty training-it wasn’t a focus in his former home so he still has accidents. Sven’s best fit home is one that will have patience for training and one who appreciates a dog that likes nothing more than being with his person. We prefer a home with a secure fenced yard and if children are present in the home that they be over age 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com/adoption-application
