Story
Biggs is a lover. Loves to be around people and other dogs. Biggs is 2 years old purebred English cream retriever. We’re choosing to rehome him because he isn’t baby aware. He loves people and other dogs. He’s an office dog and has gone to the office every day since he was adopted by us. He loves meeting new people and making friends. Ideally we would like to rehome him to another family with bigger kids or has dogs.

Story
$50 Adoption fee! Are you ready for some puppy snuggles? This sweet pup is ready for their new home! Dixie was taken from a hoarding house along with 21 other puppies. She was part of an Animal Control takeover, there were 47 dogs on the property, and rescues brought that number down to 4 fixed dogs. This sweet girl is playful and fun, ready to be your best friend. Adopters are responsible for the spay/neuter when the pup is of an appropriate age. STOP HERE - contact your vet to get a quote for the spay/neuter so you are aware of the financial obligation. Once you are chosen as the adopter, please provide half the adoption fee to hold the pup until pickup. The day before pickup, you will be asked to provide a non refundable prepaid receipt from your vet for the future spay/neuter. If the prepaid receipt is not obtainable from your vet, you can give No Nuts Club a $300 deposit which will be paid directly to your vet on the appointment date, or reimbursed to you upon confirmation of the pup being fixed. This dog is located in Selah, WA. PetFinder allows multiple postings of the same animal as long as the postings are 100 miles apart from each other. This way we can reach far and wide to find the perfect home for this dog. If driving to Selah is difficult for you, we will do our best to find a rescue partner to meet you halfway. Story
$50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Yakima County is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! After spending almost a year in the Humane Society, Scooby transferred into our rescue. From day one, he fit right into our pack, playing nicely with dogs of all sizes and ages. He is one happy boy! If you want a couch cuddler, he is your guy. This loving boy would love a family to call his own, preferably with a big yard to run in and a few fur siblings to play with. INTAKE DATE: 9/24/24 FROM: Yakima MICROCHIPPED: yes DOG’S NAME: Scooby BREED: lab/shepherd/pit AGE: 2 GENDER: M NEUTERED: yes SIZE: Large HEIGHT: 23 in WEIGHT: 75 lbs COAT: Short DESCRIPTION: black NOSE: Clear EYES: Clear EARS: Clean MISSING FUR: No EXPOSURE TO DOGS: 2 adult females, several adult males INTRODUCTIONS TO DOGS: curious, sniffing, tail wagging, ready to play INTERACTIONS WITH DOGS: cuddle on couch, likes to be with other dogs, play ball, wrestle, playful, seeks attention from other dogs FOSTER FRIENDS WITH: Marli and Sadie (my dogs), Bella, Griz, Little Man, Bo, Houdini, Macy, Elvis, Max EXPOSURE TO CATS: 2 adult female cats INTERACTIONS WITH CATS: possibly wants to eat them, overly curious, sniffing, tail wagging, some barking. I always recommend on leash, slow introductions to cats so behavior can be corrected right away. Scooby may be too hyper for cats. He’s way too excited to be near them so it may take some time to trust him around cats. EXPOSURE TO CHILDREN: teens RECOMMENDATION FOR CHILDREN: I think he would do well around kids of all ages, but I would use caution around very young children just because of his size and spatial awareness. HOUSETRAINED: Yes, Uses doggie door CRATE TRAINED: Unknown MARKS: Yes Outdoors TRAVELING IN A CAR: sits nicely, likes to look out window, would prefer to sit shotgun ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium Spends time both inside and out, outside fenced yard 6 foot chain-link LEASH TRAINED: No, Needs Work BEHAVIOR ON LEASH: pulls pretty hard, needs more training, using Cesar Millan leash training techniques COMMANDS: Sit, Lay down, Down, Up, Come Here RECALL: Pretty Good TRIM NAILS: Yes BRUSH: Yes BATHE: yes ANY AREA YOU CANNOT TOUCH: No BAD HABITS: None Known, Jumping (we encourage it at our house - that’s how we hug) ANXIETY ISSUES: None Known FOOD POSSESSION/AGGRESSION ISSUES: None, Fed together with other dogs TAKES TREATS: gentle/nicely PERSONALITY TRAITS: Friendly to Everyone, Likes to meet new dogs, Likes to be hugged, Gives kisses, Quiet, Seldom Barks, Offers belly to be scratched, Loves attention by everyone, Playful, Loving, Likes to be with other dogs, Can pick up and hold/hug, Cuddler, can kiss on face, can grab/ hold/ bear hug, likes to play in water ANY KNOWN MEDICAL ISSUES: none known INJURIES: none known VACCINATED: yes RABIES: yes DEWORMER: yes FLEA/TICK DATE: none PICS and VIDEOS (you may have to copy and paste into a new tab): https://youtube.com/shorts/Pd581ChaJNc?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/G5lEgk6SPOc?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/q0CXE_ulsrc?si=RnSUATSBqKQC3a2S https://youtube.com/shorts/2YU5CzHDjYM?si=3MVIJcpZe0IhmhXB https://youtube.com/shorts/Qfq2i0WnG7M?si=r2HP4hnrwjIDiTld https://youtube.com/shorts/84Iv5YeDZlw?si=fLFljZpqZXY8tI4H https://youtube.com/shorts/Ne9G8l723WE?si=bL2pLUXV8PJsghw0 Would you like to fill out an application? It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! Skip's owner passed away, so he is looking for another loving family to join. He came from a loving home that took the time to train him basic house rules, how to be kind and loving with humans, and to be playful with other dogs, cats, and kids. Skip needs a home that will allow him to be a cuddle bug on the couch and in bed. His favorite place is right next to his human. Another fur sibling would definitely be a bonus for Skip. *The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*The Yakima Humane Society provides care for thousands of animals each year, some of which require time in foster care before they are ready to be adopted. Fostering a homeless pet is both a rewarding and enriching experience; it is also great for families or individuals who love animals but cannot commit to having a full-time companion animal. The care that dedicated Foster Care Families provide is invaluable, both to the animals fostered and the people that adopt them. You can foster as much or as little as you like, and we need foster homes for a wide variety of animals - kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, and an occasional small & furry animal! You can learn more about our foster program and fill out an application athttp://www.yakimahumane.org/get-involved/foster/.*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*
