Story
We bought Kevin to be apart of our Guardian Dog crew for our goats. Kevin is about 8 months old his dad is Pyrenees and mom Anatolian, dad is about 200lbs. We got him as a puppy and he was absolutely adorable! As Kevin has gotten older he has become increasingly not ok with outsiders on the property and we realize our property is not large enough for him to safely roam. While he is generally ok with our kids, he is not ok with their friends or friends parents being on the property. We have 5 kids and this does not work for our lives. He is a digger and chewer and needs some tough chewing things. He is very protective of the property and social with his people and with the proper training and care will be an amazing asset to someone’s family and or farm. We’re hoping someone can have the room and love that he deserves .

Story
Remi is a friendly German Shepherd Dog who came to the shelter with her friend Rajah. Both dogs are enjoying their time in a foster home currently and their foster says they are lovely houseguests. Remi is great at self-entertaining and will toss a tennis ball for herself for hours. She's been good with children and has liked all people she has met. In typical shepherd-fashion, she sometimes has a lot to say when she sees other dogs out on walks. Remi is happiest hanging with Rajah and her foster family in the backyard with some tennis balls or jolly balls. Remi and Rajah can be adopted together as a 2 for 1 special or they can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet Remi!

Story
Banzai is currently in foster care.Banzai is a special gal. She has really come out of her shell in the time that we have known her. Banzai can be a little slow to warm up to new people and has shown a lot of improvement with making fast friends with new folks. Banzai is affectionate and playful with people. She absolutely loves playing fetch with tennis balls but also enjoys a good tug session with a plush toy. She can be super goofy and fun to play with. Banzai is a sensitive dog who an be easily overwhelmed in a busy environment. Her ideal family would have a fenced-in yard and be a quieter space. She's a homebody and would love to lounge on the couch and watch Netflix with you after a play session. Banzai has met children and done well with them with slow and respectful introductions. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet her.

Story
Rajah is currently in foster care along with his friend, Remi. Rajah is a gorgeous and friendly guy who has been great with all people and has also been good with children. He loves tennis balls and enjoys playing fetch. We can't believe Rajah is still with us as he's such a friendly boy and gets along with all people. He also settles well and enjoys napping with Remi. Rajah has been a great houseguest with his fosters. In typical German Shepherd fashion, he does have a lot to say when he sees other dogs on walks and he'd prefer to stay home in his yard playing ball. Rajah's ideal home would be with a family who has a large, fenced-in yard where he could relax and enjoy play time. Rajah can be adopted with his friend Remi as a 2 for 1 special or he can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet him!

Story
Hello! My name is Zeus the Magnificent. I am a certified American House Hippo! Doc says I need to lose some pounds to get me healthy and help with my walking. I'm looking for a home without stairs as I lack mobility as I continue to lose weight. Obviously, I love snacks and am very food motivated. I live in a home with children and have been doing well with them after a careful and conscientious introduction. I can get overwhelmed when things get busy so I may like a more relaxed household. I love hanging out on the couch or lounging outside. If you are interested in adopting me, please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org.
