Holly is playful, loyal and sweet. She is my daughter's dog and she loves kids. She likes to travel in the car and go hiking. She can be touchy with strange dogs but is fine once they become acquainted. We are moving and need to find her a safe and loving home.

Story
Meet Caleb! An adorable 2-year-old dachshund weighing 11 lbs. and super sweet!! He is looking for his forever home after being in foster care and learning that love is gentle, patient, understanding, and kind. Caleb's past life was unkind and little by little, the past is becoming a distant memory. He is playful, sweet, a loving boy who like every dachshund, is vocal, very treat motivated, doesn't like the cold/rain, and can de-squeak a toy in seconds!! He gets along with both women & men but does prefer females. He is almost potty trained but needs positive encouragement with guidance keeping in mind that any new changes will nonetheless bring accidents (his past trauma was potty related where he was scolded and learned to hold it for a very long time), is crate trained and walks fairly nicely on leash. Caleb is recovering from IVDD and therefore his home will have limited stairs, keep his weight ideal, no jumping, and fed a high-quality diet with a good joint supplement. Caleb enjoys canine companionship of similar size & age, gets along with dog savvy cats, and children who are older 12+ (he does not like quick movements). HIs best life includes: Single family residence with a fully fenced & secured yard (no exceptions) Works a hybrid schedule, part-time, early retired Breed specific knowledge and experience (he is not for first time dog guardians) Active Quality time exploring the outdoors Follows and practices positive force free training guidelines Lives in a peaceful, quiet, rural area (city life is not for Caleb) Caleb is fostered in Vancouver, WA Only serious inquiries and matches will be replied to. Story
Oakley is not quite 2 years old. We rescued her from an elderly person in our community. She is up to date on shots, spayed, and has a microchip. She is crate trained and sleeps well there all night, but she prefers to snuggle in bed with you. She is crate trained and spends time in there when we aren't home with minimal fuss. Oaks is bell trained to go outside to go potty. She is fully potty trained. She loves fetch, playing tug, chasing and eating bugs. She sits and waits for treats and food. You can sit next to her on the couch and eat a meal without her interruption though she may drool a little. Oakley loves to snuggle! She hasn't been exposed to small children, so I recommend a home with no small children. She definitely will need some more training. Oakley has enjoyed playing with other dogs her size but would do BEST as an only dog. She needs to be in a home with no small animals: no cats and no small dogs. We have 2 small dogs which is why she needs a new home

Story
Remi is a friendly German Shepherd Dog who came to the shelter with her friend Rajah. Their foster says they are lovely houseguests. Remi is great at self-entertaining and will toss a tennis ball for herself for hours. She`s been good with children and has liked all people she has met. In typical shepherd-fashion, she sometimes has a lot to say when she sees other dogs out on walks. Remi is happiest hanging with Rajah and her foster family in the backyard with some tennis balls or jolly balls. Remi and Rajah can be adopted together as a 2 for 1 special or they can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet her.

Story
Rajah is a gorgeous and friendly guy who has been great with all people and has also been good with children. He loves tennis balls and enjoys playing fetch. We can`t believe Rajah is still with us as he`s such a friendly boy and gets along with all people. He also settles well and enjoys napping with Remi. Rajah has been a great houseguest with his fosters. In typical German Shepherd fashion, he does have a lot to say when he sees other dogs on walks and he`d prefer to stay home in his yard playing ball. Rajah`s ideal home would be with a family who has a large, fenced-in yard where he could relax and enjoy play time. Rajah can be adopted with his friend Remi as a 2 for 1 special or he can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet them.

Story
Buster is an adorable, 9 month-old puppy who is ready for his forever home. Buster is a sweet and playful pup with lots of energy. He is on the shy side and does take a bit to warm up to new people and new situations. Once Buster`s comfortable, he`s a typical puppy who wants to play with toys and cuddle with people. Buster`s foster has been taking him to puppy classes at a reward-based training center to help build his confidence since he`s such a shy pup. We think Buster will do best with a family who wants to continue his training and work on gently building his confidence. Buster has been nervous around dogs and would require slow and careful introductions with any resident animals. Please visit Buster at the shelter from 11am-5pm.
