Story
Loki is a 2.5 chocolate lab mix we are pretty sure, the original breeder said he was a pure bred but his features say otherwise. We rescued him from a friend about 1.5 years ago who was going through a difficult divorce. Loki is loving and friendly but VERY protective of the family. He needs a home with a very secure yard to keep him and others safe from his protective nature. Our family has a 7 month old baby and a 4 year old daughter and he is very gentle and good with them. Loki is up to date on his shots and flea and tick meds. He is neutered and had TPLO surgery on his hind leg last year. We love him and this is a very difficult decision for us but we have to do what is best for him. Loki has some anxiety issues and does need to be kenneled when you're away. (Willing to include his kennel in his rehoming fee).

Story
Luna was given to me as a present. She has been a great dog! Fully trained and just needs more love and care than what I can offer her. I’m looking for someone who can care for her on a level that I physically cannot. She loves to play and she loves to be around other animals. She is still super young and super curious. A very good family dog!

Story
***Currently located in Guerrero, Mexico*** That’s Tula! We are looking for a person and/or family who would be willing to give Tula a home filled with love and care as she will certainly do this for you! Tula is truly special! Here is her story as we know. When we came across her, she was completely broken and would barely lift her head and could hardly hold herself up as she had been found pregnant, emaciated, and with three broken bones in her wrist and her left front leg. Her depressed and sad eyes told a story of the many street dogs in Zihuatenajo that SFS encounters. With all her pain and distrust of the world that failed her, she still warmed up so quickly to all of us and was so honored to be safe that we knew had to help this sweet girl.  She settled in at SFS, who gave her the love and comfort she had not known in so long, if ever. Slowly she opened up, seeking out affection and wagging her tail at all the humans that have cared for her. As the sadness left her eyes and was replaced with hope, we knew she still had a lot of fight in her to live. Thanks to a generous sponsor, she has been nursed back to health and will soon be ready to join the family of her dreams! She is approximately 2.5 years old and has gained weight as she is now 40lbs. Her bones are healing nicely and she will soon be cast-free after biweekly cast changes for many months. She has been spayed and received all her vaccines and a clean bill of health! This loving girl has been through so much in her short life, she deserves a home that will be patient, compassionate and full of love to give as she continues to heal physically and emotionally. Please, if anyone knows of someone who will have the greatest love and joy from a beautiful soul of a dog please reach out for her adoption.Thank you all kindly for helping us change the life of Tula, our warrior.   If you are interested in FOSTERING, click on the Foster Button and fill out the online Foster Application If you are interested in ADOPTING, click on the Adopt Button and fill out the online Adoption Application Check out our VOLUNTEER Opportunities here https://www.surfersforstrays.org/get-involved  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
