Story
Brodie How can you not love a dog like Brodie? She has such a sweet personality and loving disposition. She is housebroken and crate trained. She lets you know when she has to go out to potty. If left alone in the home, she is the perfect lady and wouldn't dream of chewing on things or making a mess. And Brodie is super smart! She loves to go for walks and is a great traveling companion in a vehicle. And did we mention that she's great with kids? Brodie was rescued from Duplin County Animal Services on her last day and she has proven to be a great save! Only two years old and 47 pounds, she now has a chance for a new beginning with a forever family! Brodie is fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and microchipped. Her primary breed looks to be that of a Polish Hound but she's probably mixed with a Redbone Coonhound as well. But whatever her blend, her endearing disposition will make her a loyal friend and great family addition! Please email adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com if you are interested or need more information. Applications can be downloaded from the website secondchancehabitat.org.

Story
What a precious, loving, beautiful young dog. Vance is a delight with many kisses! While slightly shy after his plane ride from Duplin County, he quickly warmed up and was so happy to ride in the car to his next destination. He covered his backseat handler with tons of love and kisses. Vance is about 35 lbs with eyes that melt your heart. He wants to be close to you, almost hugging you, yet ready to run and play. His fur is so soft and beautiful as if he has just been groomed. Vance is probably not quite a year old yet but will make a wonderful pet, especially for agility and obedience work. Vance is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea prevention, and will be neutered and microchipped as soon as possible. He was very good with his traveling partner, a beautiful tan and white Beagle and collie mix, also from Duplin County, NC, and tested well with other dogs at the shelter. Now that Vance is getting ready for his forever home, you won’t find a happier dog! He's very playful and eager to please his humans. Story
Say hello to Kendy, a peppy puppy so happy to be out of the Duplin County shelter! She is now free to run and play in a large fenced setting with her sisters where they finally get to experience the joys of puppyhood! At five months old and 23 pounds, Kendi is fully vaccinated, on heartworm and flea prevention, and will be spayed in a month or so when she's old enough. The dog scanner has her listed as a Catahoula Leopard and border collie blend, but we can see some lab/terrier in her, too. She is definitely good with other dogs and very sweet and friendly with her humans. And if she's anything like her sister Knoxlee, she's also good with cats. Like her siblings, Kendi is very intelligent and would be an ideal candidate for agility training. She would be an absolute star on an agility course and make her owner proud! Now that she's out of the shelter, she has a chance to truly shine and be the outstanding little dog she's meant to be! If you think you might like to be part of Kendi's forever future, just email adoptsch@gmail.com or go to secondchancehabitat.org and download an adoption application.

Story
Audi was dubbed a Carolina Dog at the Duplin County animal shelter. We rescued Audi on her last day and now we just need a home for this beautiful golden girl with the sweetest personality! Her caretaker in LaGrange, NC, has high praise for Audi on all counts. She is sweet, kind, affectionate, obedient, loving and smart, not to mention housebroken! She gets along great with other dogs and is good on a leash. She knows her commands and is patient with her babies--shows no possessiveness at all. Audi is an amazing dog and she needs a home equal to her superlatives. Audi is spayed, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative. Please email adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com or text 757-630-6181 if you are interested in meeting Audi! She's a great girl!
