Meet Violet, a 10 pound, 2-3 year old Yorkie girl being fostered in Southern Texas. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Miss Violet recently came to UYR with her 2 brothers, Theo and Nugget who were in an abusive home situation. Violet, who is about 3 years old, didnt have a lot of exposure to humans and the outside world. She is a very very sweet girl who takes time to warm up and then falls in love with you. With strangers it takes time to get to know you and then she barks at you next time she sees you. lol lol.She is starting to relax and now zooms around and plays with the puppy in her foster home. She is having fun being outside and greeting new strangers that walk by her yard with a bark that protects her new home. We are waiting to see if this little girl may have some babies of her own so we will have to get back to you on that one soon. Miss Violet will be a wonderful addition to a family who has patience and is willing to help her transition to a loving companion. She would thrive with a family where there are no children so she can slowly get used to her new space. This sweet 3 year old giant schnauzer is looking for a new home. He is house trained and super friendly. He prefers baths outside and doesn’t mind being groomed or having his nails trimmed. He is a large lap dog who enjoys cuddles and sitting with you on the sofa. He doesn’t like to ride in the car and does have a bit of anxiety with all the recent changes. He is gentle, warm and just needs time get to know you. He enjoys attention from people and does great at the vet! His favorite hobby is rolling in the grass and his shots are up to date.

Hi, I'm Rosie. I'm a 1year old Boston mix that loves to run and explore around the yard. I'm sure you're wondering about my cleft but no worries I can eat and drink just fine. It gives me a super unique and cute look though. I love, love, love stuffed toys and antlers. I also LOVE to snuggle with my hoomans. I don't do so well with other females as I want to be the only Queen in the house but I play well with the gentlemen after proper introduction. I wasn't house or kennel trained when my rescue took me in and I came to my foster home but my foster mom worked hard on it with me and now I'm good if I'm let out regularly. My foster mom says I'm a joy to have around and I will make a great family member to the right family. Meet Max... Max is a sweet guy who loves humans, small and big. He's good with most dogs as well. Max enjoys nothing more than being around his people and snuggle up but he's also ready to go for car rides or enjoy outdoor activities with his family. He is house and kennel trained. While Max is good with most dogs we recommend female dogs. Max only issue is that he is food aggressive with other dogs (not with people) so he has to get fed in his kennel or in another room. This is something that's easy to manage. Max was abandoned together with 6 other dogs in an apartment in deplorable conditions. He was there for 3 weeks when we heard about it and rescued him and the others. So we can't blame him that he does not want to share his food. Other than that he's an absolutely great dog.
