Story

We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.

Meet Miss Josey Joe! Josey is a 2 year old, female, Shepherd/Akita mix that weighs 57 lbs. She was originally found off of Windjammer Lane at the Harbor in Rockwall and taken to the local animal shelter. Miss Josey is a smart active girl that is looking for a FURever home of her own. She does great with other dogs and does absolutely fantastic with cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. Josey has moved into foster care, but she really needs a forever home to call her own! Josey definitely will do best in a home with other dogs as that is who she is the most comfortable with. She would do ok in a home with kids 6+ years of age due to her shy nature. Her adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, rabies vaccination, and basic boosters and she is heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. Hi! My name is Jinsook! I'm a 13 year old, female, White Korean Jindo mix and weigh approximately 43lbs. I was surrendered by my owner on 4/26/2023 because my owner was moving and was not able to take me. I am currently living the good life in foster care while I wait for my new family. I am currently living with 3 big dogs (male and female) and get along well with all of them. I do need to be fed separately from other dogs when it's time to eat. Don't let my age fool you; I have some pep in her step and am still quite playful! I enjoy morning walks, with or without my friend Honey, and am good on the leash. I am a sweet, affectionate lady who enjoys being petted. I am house and crate trained. I do not get on the furniture (although I am allowed to do so and am capable of jumping on the couch). I would do best in a home without children or cats. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative! Hello! My name is Duck! I am a male, Lab mix that is approx. 7 years old and weighs 58 lbs. I was originally found off Bass Road in Rockwall on 3/2/2024 and sadly, never reclaimed. So now I am available for adoption and looking for my new furever home. I am a very sweet but also slightly goofy boy that everyone at RAC has fallen in love with! Don't let my age fool you! I definitely have a spring in my step and am always happy to see you! I love to play with toys, go for walks with volunteers, and when it's time to chill, I'm always ready to cuddle. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is always suggested prior to adopting any dog. So, if you do, I would love to meet them. Let's set up a meet and greet! I have been searching for my furr ever family for 262 days as of 11/19/2024 and am now considered a Diamond Dog, My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my basic yearly vaccines. I did test positive for heartworms, however, thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I am able to receive treatment for little to no cost to my adopter.
