Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Bolt is still patiently waiting for his forever home.  Bolt came into rescue after being taken to a shelter by a family that said he had grown to be "too big".  While in rescue, he was caught in a weird matrix around Covid and post Covid and hardly received any applications. And for some reason we couldn’t secure a foster for him-until now.  Bolt has been in boarding all this time and although the people there took such great care of him, he much deserves his forever home.  He’s a sweet guy, he loves people and wants to follow his foster mom everywhere!  His foster mom is just getting to know him, but so far he’s a polite guest, not at all destructive, and asks to go outside when he needs to do his business.  He seems very smart and alert!  He’s quite a counter surfer but so far has only secured paper towels that he loves to shred.  He can get excited when meeting new people and greet them with hugs but settles down quickly. He’s being slowly tested with other dogs and cats as he gets comfortable in his new home.  He has DNA pending and we’ll update that when we know! Bolt is currently in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within OR-WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Miles! Miles is a handsome guy who was rescued from the streets as a young puppy. Miles is about 80 pounds and is a healthy, happy dog. Miles gets along with everyone, cats included. His crate is his safe space, and he eats and sleeps well and with no issues. Sometimes he goes to his crate to decompress when the house gets a little loud. He loves to jump on the trampoline He uses a chair to climb up and jump with the kids. He is good with kids. He does counter surf but has gotten much better and "down" is all it takes to remind him of his manners. He would love to be someone's snuggle buddy. He would be okay even with someone elderly- he is very chill. Miles is currently in Texas but can be on the next transport! Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here’s Della!  Della is mom of the “Perry Mason” litter from the large rescue in the PNW over the summer.  Della is a little over a year old and came from a difficult environment.  She is a sweet girl who deserves a better life.  Just a baby herself, she is looking for a foster or adopter willing to put in the time to show her how a dog’s life can be with a loving family.  She is a beautiful girl who will play hard to get while she’s trying to figure out if she can trust you or not, so kindness, consistency and a calm and loving environment will go a long way.  She has shown ZERO aggression and will panic a little if she feels unsafe and it’s understandable for what she’s been through.  She was SUCH a good mama taking care of her puppies, most have been adopted.  She will need help with all the things, feeling safe, leash walking, riding in a car and learning how to play and be a dog.  Do you have the heart and environment for Della?  She deserves so much more and we are so hopeful she will find her forever.  Is it you?   Pyrenees experience as well as shy-dog experience necessary for this sweet & quirky girl! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Birch!  Birch came into rescue when a tragic accident suddenly took his owner.  His mom was well known in the small community of Shelton, WA, and the residents rallied to get him somewhere safe after her passing.  Birch is a 2-year old Pyrenees-Border Collie mix and still full of puppy energy!  He is a very active, loves attention, is very sweet and affectionate, and he LOVES to give kisses!  Birch is a very strong and active boy who will benefit from physical and mental stimulation as well as some basic training. He is very playful and loves to wrestle and be chased. He does best with female dogs and would like to be the only king of the household.  He would prefer a home without cats.  Birch is being fostered in Shelton, WA and can be transported within WA and OR. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cabo is a 5-year-old male Pyrenees mix weighing around 98lbs. He is not destructive inside or outside of the home and is not a digger. He is house trained, and crate trained. He does patrol the yard and will bark at strangers.  He will need to be an only dog in his home and doggie parks are not a good idea for sweet Cabo. Cats are unknown but doubtful. Cabo is very sweet to people, once he trusts you, he does wonderful!  He likes goodies, treats, food of all sorts.  His ideal home would be that he is the only dog.  He could be with a family if the kids are sweet and gentle, a couple, or a single person.  He is not much of a hiker or runner but walks would be sufficient.  He is trained for sit, come, heel for leash walking, off for not jumping on his humans, and “nice” or “gentle” for taking treats.  He sleeps in his crate at night and is not anxious with car rides. He is such a super great dog and has come so far; he needs his forever home for this big guy that is very loving to his humans.  Could that be you???? Cabo is currently being fostered in the DFW area but can be on the next PNW transport.
